honestly, no matter what brenneman says (and hes my favorite current play-by-play announcer in any sport), that wasnt a "flagrant" foul.
as a screener, thats one of the hardest screens to set. when youre in the halfcourt, the defender cant gain too much "momentum" coming toward you
but in the full-court like that, the defender is almost coming full-speed at you and even though youre screening, you run the risk of getting drilled (being the SCREENER) if you just absorb a full-on collision with the defender coming almost full-speed and blind to the pick being set. naturally tendency is to somewhat lean into the screen
not trying to make this is physics, "law of motion" debate, but just feel like those screens always look worse than they are.
he DID put a little too much into the screen, but not like he was trying to lay the guy out. a lot of it was protecting himself
