I remember it being mentioned on here, but no one ever said if it was a good read or not. I breezed over a copy at the bookstore and it looked like it could be a decent book. Any madjackers read this? Is it worth reading?

Couldn't put it down. Great read. Dude that wrote is one bright guy and tosses in many interesting and arcane references while covering the poker tourney and the bizzare happenings of the Binion family.

Not suprised that MJ'rs didn't reply to this thread. I'm guessing 90% of them have never read a book that didn't have pictures in it.....;) :D :moon: :thefinger

My wife just started reading the Da Vinci code this weekend, can't put it down and tells me that I MUST read it when she is done with it.

Which means I won't....LOL..

Also, if you haven't read Positively Fifth Street yet, don't forget to read the very last page in the book, as you should see a familiar name listed in the credits......

Isn't that right, Nolan? ;)

In regards to the Da Vinci Code; is it required to have read his other books. I have not read anything by him but have heard they are good. I was just wondering if you should read in a sequence or are the books not related. Thanks!

I'm about halfway into the book, pretty good read so far. McManus does have a tendency to run off in tangents left and right, some of which are interesting and some that bore me to death. I'm just getting into the chapters about his experiences at the WSOP so I'm sure it will speed up.

Oh yeah, and it's always funny to read about someone in a book you recognize from an internet forum (Nolan Dalla)

Great book.

I found both his experience at the table and the insight into the Binion family a fantastic read.

Made me want to run away and play poker professionally.
