I am a very strong believer of Christ to the point I am going to school to become a deacon in the Catholic Church. Just a few points. It is a movie and one man's point of view or depiction. In all my studies, it was in my opinion pretty accurate. I think it is important that christians, or any people who believe in Christ for that matter understand just what transpired. It is only a positive, especially in this world that we live in today, that the brutality of the event can be shown to a much accurate and higher degree. Jesus suffered for us, humans who are sinners. He did not have to do this, Jesus could have just ascended to heaven whenever He wanted and left us all with no hope. That is what the agony in the garden is all about. His will after spending a few years around us humans was not to excited to go through all this. His Father's will was to do this. Jesus never used his powers for himself, only to serve others and his whole passion is for all of humanity. He died for the very people who crucified Him and all of us. Information has been gathered from many sources, many of which are not in the Bible, that confirm many things in the Bible, and this particular event. I saw no malice directed at anyone in the movie, ie. the Jews. It is only a movie, the suffering of Jesus, internally and externally. Everyone has a right to like or dislike it. Everyone has a right to believe or not believe. We all have free choice. Holleywood can sensationalize movies and video games but many times it is just to get ratings are promote itself. I think the violence in this movie was pretty acurate and at least in my mind, very real of what happened. God Bless
