* terps showed some major balls and might have played themselves back into the tournament with their outright in raleigh.
that free-throw shooting is still atrocious but terps responded with their backs against the wall
* as for dayton- sure they pissed away a double-digit lead and its easy to throw a string of expletives their way. but id rather give major props to rhode island. they were down as many as 15 and they coulda mailed it in. they showed a lot of balls by coming all the way back. rams deserve a lot of credit
thursday:
oregon/"fight on" trojans over 161.5
* number is high, but this game is gonna be a track meet. both teams just passing the time until the pac-10 tourney comes. incidentally- i think both oregon and usc could be a player in the conference tourney. but thats still a week away. almost a meaningless game for both teams. oregon should -- after playing two solid defensive teams (stanford, cal) -- find the usc trojans defense to be quite the sieve. can realistically see 170-175 pts here.
add: (stronger) east tennessee state 2h (-6)
hit this one pretty hard. line just moved to 6.5.
also add: oregon state (-3) over ucla
