im not an "authority" but if memory serves correct, once the small conference tourneys get past the first day- lines dont go up (at least offshore) until the morning. some interesting games though. ive taken a liking to that southern conference

Hit a nice moneyline parlay in the Southern today, and then got hammered on my other plays. Infact I lost both UAB and Lasalle, and pushed on Toledo.

Very interesting conference, and like you said, some good games coming up.

Any predictions off hand?

even though i haven't followed this conference closely enough, E. Tennessee St.'s been quite the surprise SU here....
the citadel will always be the citadel during reg season, i don't think anyone would have thought elon would have won as many games outside of their conference as well as inside....and WOFFORD BIT me in the ass today as i didn't do my homework as they played on a neutral site and ruined 2 units for me.....

any gurus for this conference to help us out?

E. Tennessee St. won by 1 last time the played Furman

Georgia Southern should handle Wofford.

vigilante:

capping conference tournaments are tricky- especially the major conferences.

ive had success keeping these things in mind:

1) a lot of major teams are in the tournament regardless of if they exit their conference tourney or not. a lot of "middle of the pack" teams in the major conferences are desperate and can get the automatic bid by stringing a few wins together. it happens every year.

2) beating a team 3 times in the same season is very tough

3) respect the neutral court. there are so many times people post the following phrase throughout conference tourneys (and it already happened today in the first days of conference tourneys)

"why is team A only favored by (enter low spread here) over team B. team A handled them easily in the regular season"

today- that question was all over the forum in the furman and elon games. both favorites covered - but look beyond that. every chalk player expected blowouts. both of those games were tied in the final minutes.

gl in the tourney

If the E. Tennessee St. line is at about 6-8 vs. Furman, which it probably won't be. More like 10+.

I would go with E. Tennessee St., after Furman blew that 18 point lead against Western Carolina, they are lucky to be here.

But who am I kidding, the line will probably be 10+, taking into consideration that Furman is playing back to back games.

I need Georgia Southern -440 ML to cash a nice Moneyline parlay.

Should I hedge with Wofford on the spread?

I'm thinking that Wofford may hang around. Tired legs may get to them late after OT affair yesterday. I'd hedge for just a bit.
