Without a doubt the Pac 10 is better than the SEC in basketball. :joke:

To be honest I am not a huge college basketball fan. I basically only follow the Pac 10 and mainly just USC. I cannot honestly answer your question because I am not familiar with the SEC. The Pac 10 I know is not having a strong year. Next year I think the Pac 10 will be very strong.

If I had to answer it, I think this year hands down the SEC is better than the Pac 10. Throughout the years, I think maybe the Pac 10 has been better but I am not sure. Again I am no expert and maybe the SEC has been better. I enjoyed USC beating Kentucky in the tourney 4 years ago!!!! :D USC also should have been a final four team 3 years ago but lost in the 1st freaking round.

I do know one thing. If USC fires Bibby, gets the new state of the art arena built, and hires an excellent coach, USC will be a final four team for years to come. I am not sold on Bibby being USC head coach. Only good thing about USC basketball the last 2 years was beating UCLA 4 times!!!!!!

i totally disagree with that

in the last 20 years, 12 SEC teams have made it to the final four compared to the PAC 10's 5.....Obviously we can all say that UCLA was the greatest team of all time, but by conference, PAC in the last 20 years has been represented by Arizona,UCLA, Stanford, where the SEC has had Florida,Kentucky,LSU,Georgia and Arkansas......

You sold me and I guess I have no choice but to agree with you that the SEC has been better than the Pac 10 in hoops. However, you must remember when comparing the 2 conferences, that the SEC Conference has 2 more teams than the Pac 10.

The Pac 10 is awful right now in hoops, but I really don't understand why. They have so much talent in Cali, and UCLA, even with its swoon over recent years, is still one of the most prestigious programs in the land. It doesn't help the Washington schools that the best program in the state happens to be in the WCC, but still.

If the Badgers can be as good as they have been recently recruiting almost solely out of Milwaukee and the southeast Wisconsin suburbs, you'd think both UCLA and USC could draw enough out of Los Angeles to really be up there annually.
