the land of confusion
The F1s are kicking off the season in my home town of Melbourne tomorrow. Now I'm wondering to myself.....where have all the F1 bettors of yesteryear gone??
It used to be a great money spinner for the my 'accounts department'!!!! Surely someone has some thoughts?

I have 1 F1 rule that I have followed religiously for the last couple of years......Get on board M. Schumacher to win whenever he is over $2, so happy that I grabbed him at $3 earlier in the week now that he has blitzed through practice and now has pole. If he starts in the top 6 (which is virtually all of the time!) he generally goes on to win.

Went 4 from 5 in qualifying match-ups so hoping to do similar in race match-ups.

Taking Montoya versus Ralph @ $1.50. Young Schumacher has been behind Juan-Pablo for 3 of 4 practice sessions and qualified 8th as opposed to Montoya's 3rd. Ralph will have to get past some fast traffic!!

Button versus Aussie Webber @ $1.65. Button beat him often last year (which cost me too many times!) and now Jenson's car has improved dramatically from last year. Webber will have a good dip at this in front of the home crowd but his Jaguar isn't quite up with the BAR Honda me thinks.

Alonso versus Trulli @ $1.60. Alonso pipped his team mate in the last 2 practice sessions and then qualified 5th over Trulli's 9th. Traffic becomes the big issue once again.

Raikkonen should beat Coulthard but they have both had a crappy weekend so far and I'm not betting my $$s on either of them to improve!!

Barring accidents or engine failure I'd expect these to be good bets.

3 - 1 for the race. Alonso stitched up Montoya at the start to ruin the sweep. Ferrari domination looming again in season '04. Daylight between them and the rest.

Off to Malaysia for round 2 in two weeks time.
