Several books have Anaheim season win total at 91.5 and +105 for the under. I just think there is no way they get there. Vlad is a nice pickup, but does have a bad back and injury concerns. Colon has an era close to 4.00--an upgrade over the current staff but not a season-maker. He is a career under-achiever. The rest of the staff has eras close to 5.00 The team has a good bullpen admittedly.
The way I see it though, Texas will outslug them for a few games, the big three of oakland will be favorites every time they play Anaheim, and Seattle has overall better pitching and hitting.
Solid value bet on the basis of public over reaction to Vlad, Colon, and Escobar. 92 wins in that division will be difficult for any team, let alone this team
IMHO

:nono:......lol at Seattle having better hitting....good luck whatever you choose though bro......and yes I may be a bit biased being in Angel fan but this is a far better team IMO then the one that won the series over a year ago....Oaklands pitching is good but their offense should be anemic...Seattles pithing is pretty decent and their hitting is good.....but I def think they Angels have the strongest batting lineup from top to bottom...and if Eck has a year like 2 years ago and Erstad remains healthy watch out....Vlads back is supposedly feeling stronger than it has in years.....im praying he stays healthy.....starting pitching is better than last year and of course the bullpen is strong...we need a lefty in the pen though....good luck

I'd prob pass on that bet. You never know what's gonna happen with these guys. They'll certainly win a lot of games but 92? .......100 games is quite a feat in that division.
I think Colon will be nasty this year. This guy will give you a lot of innings and go out there balls out every pitch.
I think Eck blasted one out this morning so hopefully this is the sign of a breakout year for him. I think I'd be happy to get about .275-.280 out of him this year.

The key is Ersty and Salmon this year bar none. I wouldn't worry too much about anyone else in that lineup but these 2 guys MUST have big years if they wanna win the penant.

I'll tell ya one thing I can't wait to see Hudson come in to the OC to get pounded.

Personally I would stay away.....IMO Seattle and Anaheim will battle out for the title......Oakland and Texas are significantly weaker so more wins are available.....I think the number is about correct

while obviously i'm a bit biased and i will admit that...i don't think oakland is gonna struggle as much as everybody thinks...they got some people that can hit and we have the pitchers...it will be very interesting to see how the season pans out
