Keeping it in the MAAC tonight with Manhattan -5.5
Well I cashed Niagra last night and now will fade them in the championship game. Here is my reasoning: The double bye that the Jaspers had in this tourny really comes into play tonight. Niagra has played two very tough games in the past two nights (beat Iona in OT and battled back from down 11 to beat Siena last night) and is going to be tired tonight in my opinion. Their seniors are playing with a lot of heart, but their ability to will the themselves over less talented squads won't work against the class of the league in Manhattan. The Jaspers looked sharp last night, controlled the game the whole way. The fact that last nights game hit close to the spread is not indicative of the dominance they showed over St Peter's during that contest. If it wasn't for the guys deep on Manhattan's bench just handing the ball over in the last minute or so a few times, they would have won by 17+. While it is also a small fact, the Niagra game ended about 12:15 am eastern time, long after Manhattan was gone from the building. Don't know if it is a huge factor but I like the team having played less games and more rest in the past 24 hours.
Jaspers seem very focused on getting back to the Big Dance and should take care of business tonight against a less talented team that has played two tough games over the past two nights.
