Now may not be the best time to post these....but I just put these in and was looking for opinions and maybe some more bets in other conferences that maybe someone can convince me of.....

Now these bets I have made are more based on potential matchups than talent of the team.....of course that is factored in, but based on matchups, I believe these teams hold great value.

Richmond 12-1 to win ATL-10 (I firmly believe that this is the 2nd best team in the league......and at 12-1 I had to take a shot.....some decent live dogs in this conference. Basically, even though this tournament is being played in Dayton, I am looking for a team with a road through Dayton......I am not sold on the Flyers and think that a team can get to the championship game through them......I will take my chances at 12-1 if it comes down to Richmond versus Joes on a neutral court.....or maybe X gives St Joes fits since they are playing much better right now????)

Missouri 13-1 to win Big 12 (This is a reach....and I cant believe that I am betting on this team to win this tournament after they screwed me just last Sunday, but they have a gimme in the first round which will setup a rematch against those same Jayhawks on a neutral court. I think advantage will go to the Tigers in this matchup.....get the Tigers in a final four situation and maybe this will light the fire we have been waiting for......13-1 for a talented team is pretty solid)

Santa Barbara 10-1 to win Big West (This is a weird tournament bracket......Santa Barbara will only have to win 3 total games, while some teams will have to win 4 and others only 2. If I can get the Santa Barbara/Pacific matchup, I like my chances and at 10-1....this is the 3rd best team in the conference and I believe has better talent than Pacific.)

Here is what I played for the NCAA championship......not much analysis right now since bracket obviously isnt out.....

NC State 35-1
Providence 52-1
Texas 22-1
Memphis 100-1
Ga tech 30-1
Seton Hall 150-1

I played all of these......hopefully I get some good matchups!

explain to me how ohio state is 66/1 to win the big ten tourney. you know my hatred for osu, but that line is ridiculous. the big 10 is garbage this year and there is no "sure" thing. obrien has been a money coach in the big 10 tourney since hes been there. i gotta give credit where its due. and the bucks were a shit team last year and he got them to the finals. theyre not likely to win it, but at 66/1, the hedge possibilites are there if they get close. you cant tell me northwestern should be +3000 and osu +6600. thats preposterous. the only team with no shot to win it is penn state. it wouldnt even surprise me to see minnesota pull an upset or two.

gman......well, unfortunatly that caught my eye too. I think that Ohio State wants another piece of Illinois....which means that they will probably give a good effort against a bad Indiana team that has given up on the year.....and who knows......Ohio State showed that they can hang with Illinois....I think Illinois is beatable anyways....not a big fan.

Say Ohio State gets past Illinois.....then you can start hedging. At 66-1.....you dont have to put much at risk, and could end up getting a decent profit.

Dont get me wrong those guys stink.....but if O'Brien is ever gonna get anything out of this team it will be in this tournament......

Lowell......I would not expect that response from an ACC guy....but I certainly respect it. I dont know if I agree, however. No group of teams are more prepared for this type of tournament than the ACC teams.....Remember I am not necessarily saying that I expect these teams to win it all.....but I am betting based on value and the chance that they can get to the final 8 or so.....and I am a big supporter of NC State......Julius Hodges is a master motivator and can will his team to wins....I really like the makeup of that team and expect big things

Pitt isnt going anywhere, as usual

Tease I was all over Mizzou to win the Big 12, but their bracket turned into a disaster and they lost out on the bye. Nobody has ever won 4 games to win the Big 12, and they arent going to beat Texas on 3rd day in a row of playing, even if they get past KU. As overrated as I think they are, the bracket sets up great for Okl State.

As for Big 11, what are odds on Iowa? Seems like the run the table, or close, every year.

I show Iowa as 13-1......that is just about as good a bet as any in the Big 10. The more I look into what gman said.....I am definatly going to be playing Ohio State tomorrow.....I just think that Indiana has thrown in the towel and Indiana is just about fed up with Mike Davis and the dumb things he says in the media.....blaming the fans, etc.

Ohio State should be the hungrier team.....and I cant believe I am doing it, but I will bet on the Buckeyes for the second time this year.....

By the way.....I added Boston College at 20-1 to win the Big East....just too much value as their first 2 opponants will ne G'Town and Syracuse, whom I believe to be the weakest of the teams that got a bye.....we shall see

yea and the only reason i took mizzou is just for the simple fact that maybe i am chasing my loss on sunday....i dunno, probably not a smart bet, but who knows maybe they get past kansas this time and they bail me out
