Among Libtards!!
monday: no plays
ytd: 119-111-3 (-3.1 units)

One unit *...............local line

UW-Milwaukee -2 (this is the third meeting between the two best teams in the horizon league. Milwaukee won at home on December 23rd by a score of 78-62....while UIC took the win at home on February 5th by a score of 86-82. The home team in this series has won 9 of the last 10 SU and 7 of the 10 ATS. Tonights game will be played at US Cellular....Milwaukee has played 9 games there this year posting a 7-2 SU record....the two losses coming at the hands of Southern Illinois and Manhattan....two teams already in the dance.....Milwaukee's strength of schedule is ranked 139...while UIC's is ranked 283. Milwaukee has not lost a conference game at home all year....it is regarded as a very tough place to play. It is also well known that Bruce Pearl and Jimmy Collins have no love loss for each other. When they were assistants at Illinois there was a recruiting problem which arose....Pearl accusing Collins of violating NCAA rules which Jimmy hasn't forgiven him for. There will be no pre or post game handshakes tonight....the atmosphere should be electric and with the NCAA's on the line, I'm going with the home team to cover the short spread.)

good luck to all!!!

I'm on the fence on this one. Nice analysis, I was not aware of the bad blood between the two coaches.

Should be a highly entertaining affair, Good luck!

The info I got is that their strength of schedule is similar:confused:

Mil scores on av over 80 pts/game at home, almost 78 pts/game in conference.

UIC scoring 67 pts/game on the road, 68 pts/game in conference.

Mil shoots over 73% from the line at home, UIC shoots 62% from the line on the road.

In the last win at home, UIC shot (a miraculous) 76% from the line and was 7/15 from outside the arc (av 4/13 on the road) to pull out a 4 point victory as a three point chalk.

I think Wisc Mil had their bottoming out period and has looked to be back on stride in their last couple. UIC has been winning consistently, but against mostly weaker talent. You gotta like this trend, Wisc Mil 7-1 SU revenging a loss were an opponent scored 85 or more points. Think the current conditions are favorable to that trend extending. Also, UIC hasn't done well in road games when the spread is this low. Tells me that maybe their bad free throw shooting may bite them in the ass tonight.

I think I'm leaning towards Wisc Mil myself:tongue

Intense,

I thought the SOS #'s were a little strange last night too when I was getting them off of sportsline....but upon further inspection, I can see where Milwaukee's schedule is quite a bit tougher. Take a look at each teams non-conference opponents.

Wis.-Milwaukee:

@ Air Force (may be a NCAA team this year..for sure NIT)
@ Wisconsin (NCAA team)
@ NC State (NCAA team)
Manhattan (NCAA team)
Southern Illinois (NCAA team)

UIC:

Illinois (NCAA team)
Northwestern (probable NIT team)

I guess that is where the gap is in SOS #'s between the two. good luck tonight!!

first half effort out of milwaukee was pathetic!!! Getting outrebounded 20-11.....UIC has taken 15 FT's and made 11 compared to milwaukee's 0-3 effort at the line....and the last 3 minutes I don't think I've ever seen a team take as many short jumpers in the lane from about 8 feet as milwaukee did and miss them all.....and miss them badly....they weren't missing them long or short, these suckers were missing left and right....at least get the phucking ball on line and give it a chance to go in....do you phucking practice shooting!!! goddamn it I'm getting pissed.....first toronto in the pros and then I have to watch these bums puke all over themselves....play a second half!! :thefinger
