BC -7 over G'Town ****
Hoyas have lost 7 or 8 in a row.BC with Smith feel they have a shot at the title.G'town can't shoot.Big slump...G'town is a great go against team...5-16 ats..one of the worst out of 233 teams.
BC wins by double digits.

VT +6 over Rutgers **
Mathews can keep this close enough.RU should win but VT gives them a game.RU is not playing at the RAC...

Hall -4 over Nova..back tonite

Notre dame -6 over West Vir ****
WV on a big time skid.Lost 4 in a row before beating a weak Miami team.Has lost 7 of last 8 and is 0-6 in BE tourney games. They can't shoot the ball, have weak gds and there defense is a little above avg. They have a decent frontline with D'or F who is a big time shot blocker,Pittnogle and Sally. No depth,no gd pt gd thast can create.WV needs to play ball control and slow the ball down vs ND's explosive offense.
ND has Thomas at the pt who is playing great the past few weeks.Quinn is "automatic" when he gets his open jumpers.ND beat the Hall,Conn and UCLA recently. They play better defense and despite WV's frontline ND rebounds better.
WV offense will struggle and Thomas takes ND to the promise land.
Plus ND had shooting practice a few days ago vs the Johnnies at MSG.There used to the rims after the Johnnies game.I think they hit 13 or 14 tre's.ND wins by 10 or more.

Seton hall -4.5 over Nova ***
Nova ended its season losing 5 games and 8 of last 10.What the hell is going on.Ray,Sumpter,Foyle ,Frazier and Nardi are pretty solid. Most of those losses were in close games that went down to the wire. But this team makes more bonehead moves then Niagara.Nova has a few players from NYC and they will play well in the 1st half but...Barrett is from Rice HS
Hall is loaded.Whitney inside,Barrett at the pt and then all those greyhounds.Sweet,Toney-el,Allen and instant O off the bench in Morris.
Hall rebounds better, shoots better, plays better defense and has Barrett at the pt.He stirs the drink with his penetration and passing.Nardi is a frosh at the pt for Nova and is good. But Nova still has problems with TO's.
Like Hall to win this in a close game, maybe up by 4 or 5 with 3 minuts and then barrett takes over.Whitney inside is so much stronger then Frazier.Hall has won 4 of last 5 games and on a roll.Could be a sleeper team here in BE tourney. With Johnnies out of tourney the NYC metro area only has the Hall left.

Central Conn +6 over Monmouth ***
CC is a dangerous team here.Love Monmouth the way they play. It's Princeton style offense with backdoors, etc. But CC is a tough team.Outstanding coach in Howie Dickenman.Possible upset over the favorite.CC has Ron Robinson one of the NEC's top players. He's avg 18 pt and 9 bds a game.Monmouth has Hamilton who is avg 16 pts and 6 bds. Both teams split during the season.CC has won 9 of last 12.
This game goes down to the last shot..Close all the way despite CC playing at Monmouth

Box, be careful with Monmouth, I am a graduate and Boylan is a very small, loud gym to play at. Monmouth will win this game because of the homecourt factor, where they are undefeated this year. This Central team is not nearly as good as their past teams that rolled through the NEC tournaments. They were lead by that BEAST Decoursley Edwards...with him gone, Hamilton will control the middle and the Hawks will get plenty of home cooking from the refs...they always do at Boylan...Monmouth also has a deep bench and one of the best defensive systems in the country with their Temple Match-Up zone and slow down cycle offense. Monmouth will win, 6 is a big number for a team that can barely break 60 pts, but with FT's down the stretch I'd be leary. Monmouth is notoriously a HORRIBLE first half team that wears down the other team in the 2nd half...they only allow deep jumpers and 3's and once they start to clang off the rim Monmouth slowly turns a deficit into a 3-4 pt lead..which leads to more desperate jumpers down the stretch and over the back rebound fouls out of frustration...the are Princeton JR in a worse conference....The o/u is also WAY to high...winner will have 60, loser 50ish...Mark it down, I know my Hawks and Coach Callaway..Byfield is dangerous from 3....if he's on the game is over early...you can't come from behind vs the Hawks...good luck

Box- Looks like we had pretty similiar days. Oh well. Can't believe Toney-El. Brutal free-throws. Barrett waited a split second too long to get him the ball...should have held on to it himself. Better luck for us tomorrow.

Well Nite games killed me.
Capman, you were right. And I know Monmouth well.I knew CC 's coach Howie Dickenman when he coached as an asst at Canisius. He recruited several of my kids.Great coach. But so is Calloway.
I knew Hawks were 12-0 at home but thought CC was on a roll.
NJ Sammy,I know your going to get home from the game and read I went with CC. My bad
Damn...But Robinson sure looked good.Monmouth did a great defensive job on him.
And even boxed and one him.
Had ND fade in the end. And Hall.
What was Brey doing attacking WV half court defense. With it so spread out the middle is open. Why not flash Thomas your best dribbler and penetrator from behind the zone to the post.Get him the ball around the FT line or top of the key. Then he turns around and attacks the hoop and its 3-2.
ND side passed up top in a 2-1-2 which was what defense WV was in after they matched up
Be back tomr..hopefully with a few wins.
