sad state of affairs if va or fsu does not get into tourney at expense of one of these teams...thanks for your unbiased perspective cg!
In my opinion the Big Ten should have no more than 3 teams in the ncaa this year, but we all know 5 will go somehow.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, there ARE good teams in the big 10. 3 of them in fact (Wisconsin, Illinois, and Mich. St. in that order); they just don't happen to be playing today. Yes, everyone else is horrible, with the possible exception of Michigan and Iowa, who have been halfway decent when they decide to show up.
If Indiana upsets Illinois or Minny upsets Wiscy tomorrow then consider my foot planted firmly in my mouth, but I think you'll see DD wins by both.
Just try and keep in mind that there's a reason these teams are playing on the first day of the tournament . . .

Thing u have to remember is penn state at Northwestern
Penn State lead at half and northwestern went on a 20 pt run and won by 13.
Penn state fades very badly 2ns halves cause of the short team.

Gotta say I'm getting tired of hearing about this. Yes its true, this is the worst this conference has been in a long time but everybody knows it, no one is arguing how good the Big 10 is.
That being said, in any normal year, I'd still take the 6th or 7th place team out of the Big 10, ACC, or the SEC over just about any midmajor. Unfortunately for the Big 10, this is not a normal year.
There is a reason that UNC and Wisconsin made it to the Final Four in 2000.
