Alright so my Gorecki thread didn't go too well. Thats what I get for trying to instill some class with you degenerate, beer-bellied, tee-shirt wearing, low-life, addictive gambler crowd. Well I will try one more time to raise the level of discussion on this board, although I know my attempts will be futile.

Anywho, has anyone seen House of Sand and Fog. I'm not much of a movie goer but, the trophy made me go last Saturday night. Although I am not one to share my opinions, I do have an opinion of this flick. Outstanding movie. Can't think of a tougher, sadder ending but, overall phenomenal film. Anyone else see this movie or are you all still watching Amercian Idol.

although i think ben kingsly is a great actor, i will probably not see the movie. however, my wife read the book & thought so much of it that she kept bothering me about it. so maybe that's the reason why i won't see it (lol)

Pengster:

That was funny. Seriously, are you going to go? I would like to meet you as you have said some very funny things on this board.

AR, really, as a fellow old hippie I think you would appreciate this film. Kingsley was outstanding. Again this a flick that kinda flies under the radar. You should see it but be in the right mood.

Then again you pukes outta listen to Goreckis' 3rd also but, you wont. Too busy laying the points on St. Joes over Xavier. But wait....................

Go see it Chan. Are you going to AC?

Eddie--The years in the courtroom has really honed your skills of persuasion. You actually did entice me to give a listen to #3 the other day, and I appreciate the insight, but I didn't want my degenerate, beer-bellied, tee-shirt wearing, low-life, addictive gambling cohorts to think less of me so I didn't post.

Sand and Fog was an absolutely great movie. Once again I agree. Now if you will just listen to your heart and vote Bush Cheny '04 we could form a lifelong bond.

Thanks for the uplifting ideas!

I'm surprised. I would have thought that "classical music" for anyone living south of the Ohio River meant Conway Twitty or Loretta Lynn. Keep it up you have potential.

As far as Bush Cheney goes, I am "listening to my heart". And as that great sage and hot looking performer, Tom Petty would say "...even the losers, get lucky sometime...".

Channie:

You will be my caddy as I want you to witness the thrashing I give to Dogs That Bark on the course. Let the word go forth from this time and place that I will take on all comers on the links or in the love arena.

Speaking of love arena, how was it sitting across from my former girlfriend that I dumped, Helen. Was the pipefitter there? Gulp... how big was he? Did he look like he was in a union? Did he have any tatoos? Did he have a three-five day beard?

IO: I'm missing it? Help.

Ed

PS: Sorry Chanie I thought you were sitting across from my old ball and chain, Helen. Didn't realize you were talking about her sister. Yeah, she wanted me too. She carried my picture around with her on this board for a while.

Story of my life. Two sex-starved, second generation American, sisters from Philly, one in a bad marriage, the other recovering from one, chasing around a successful, good looking, hung lawyer from the midwest. Just my lot in life kids.

I always a appreciate your brash humor, but anyone that lives in Cincinnati really needs to reconsider throwing stones at other cities of residence. I experienced the Queen city first hand for a year and a half, and culture is not something that is abundant. Arrogance, yes. Culture, hardly.

I do look forward to more recommendations from one of Cincy's elites, though. You are two for two so far. Keep up the great work.

That is fine line you draw for yourself on the Ohio River as well. Hitting pretty close to home.

Well Edward I finally caught you in typo error.
"I will take on all (comers) on the links or in the love arena." :)

---and I would wager the only classical music you have ever listened to was as a youth when viewing The Lone Ranger! (William Tell Overature)--figure Rap more your style.

:142smilie Eddie, just trying to add some friendly banter in your thread- no harm meant. I have heard good reviews regarding "House of Sand & Fog", but since I would have to be explaining everything to the wife the entire film its a good chance we won't see it unless its shown on a flight to Asia.
Regarding the Mad Jills: I like to see their posts and think its great that they are a good looking, fun loving bunch that stick together as true friends do. I wouldn't f*ck w/them literally or figuratively because-
I'm married
I wouldn't want my wife to do the same AND
I MIGHT GET CAUGHT. (See Below)
As to your other questions/remarks...Was the pipefitter there? Gulp... how big was he? Did he look like he was in a union? Did he have any tatoos? Did he have a three-five day beard?

Yes.Yes.Yes.Don't know he had on long pants. Don't know I was under the table by that time.

Dawgball, your comments on Cincy were right on. Nothing wrong with it but I wouldn't exactly be throwin rocks from that glass city.

Hehe...not exactly an urbane city of cultural delights.
