Not at all supporting Bertuzzi, but in terms of priorities explain to me why the league allows Danny Heatley to play? Hurting someone on the ice is significantly worse than criminally killing someone off the ice? And Heatley got a standing ovation when he returned.

There's a big difference between intent to injure and accidental injury. If I understand the facts of the Heatley incident, he passed a sobriety test. To my knowledge, he was also not charged with reckless driving.
Also, Snyder's parents forgave Heatley and didn't blame him for Dan's death. By extension, I think Snyder's parents would expect hockey fans to give Heatley a pass, too.

I will have to research it but I thought there were still charges pending. Of course Ray Lewis got acquited in that town too, so it isnt too meaningful. He was reckless, ahd been drinking and was responsible.
But change sports - Leonard Little killed someone when he was drunk. Didnt even get suspended. Lamar Smith - well he only paralyzed a guy and then lied to the police about whether he was driving.
All I am saying is I am sick of all this "we have to set an example" commentray when there are plenty of bad examples being set.

If memory serves, the Leonard Little incident was much more clear-cut blame. Who knows how he got off the hook.

i don't see much difference to be honest except if u think Bertuzzi planned it which i doubt very seriously...plus only reason heatly isn't in jail right now is due to the fact the snyder family forgive him
