Good Luck today Home Wrecker. I think and end to an era is near in Lafayette. :( Hate to see him go out on a losing note but think it's really starting to wear on him.

Obviously this reasoning is after tip off, but I want to share my thought process on the game anyway. My thought process is that the Illini has struggled with their interior defense lately and they are not a BIG team, which falls into the Hoosiers style of play. This will be a guard dominated game from both sides, BUT if Leach and Ewing Jr. (6-11 and 6-8) can have respectful games and the Hoosiers untilize them down low, the Hoosiers perimeter game should get some open looks. No #1 Seed has ever won this tournament and 4 of the 6 #1 seeds have lost their first game. The illini has won 10 straight but are 5-4-1 ATS in that 10. IU before yesterday was only 2-8 SU and 3-7 ATS in their last 10....IMO buying the game to 10 points has value with getting a Hoosier team who will have the HOME support, out to prove something, and who has a similar style as the illini with the offense focused on guard play (IU might be deeper with emergence of Tapak and Johnson?).

I am watching so I will be back at the half.
