7-3 on friday for +3.8 but feel like i played way way too many games. some guys like crazy all-over-the-place action but found myself flipping so many channels my head was spinning. no mas. no mas.
also- for anyone to question whether washington belongs in the tourney is ridiculous. no doubt they had some really bad losses early in the season but the way theyre playing right now, they could beat just about anyone in the country outside of duke and pittsburgh. they toyed with arizona all night.
michigan (+6.5) over illinois
michigan moneyline (+250) over illinois
*three of the four big ten teams left are all tourney locks. michigan the lone team that can sneak into the dance with two more wins. they get one here. illinois seems to be just passing the time until the tourney. fairly lethargic victory over ohio state, and then a lame effort vs indiana even though they got the 'front door cover'. if you look at their schedule, theyve been on cruise control for the last month, finishing the season with games vs the big ten mutants. this is truly a spot where one team is likely to be much more inspired than the other. illinois is the better team, but that means shit in the conference tourneys. wolverines win it. just appearing in the big 10 championship game would go a long way toward restoring some pride to a program thats been through a lot the last few years.
kent state (+4.5) over western michigan
kent state moneyline (+175) over western michigan
add: kent/wmu 1st half under 66.5
*the mac got what they wanted: the two truly elite teams in the conference squaring off for the conference title. both teams have been pretty dominant the last two nights. wmu smashed marshall and then just wore toledo down in the semifinal. kent let both bg and miami hang around in the first half of their games, but totally dominated both teams in the final 20:00 of each game. really just a great matchup. highest scoring team in the conference (wmu) playing the best defensive team in the conference (kent). when its all said and done, kent should prevail. wmu is a likely at-large team regardless of the outcome. just cant ignore kent's big game experience. haut and edwards have been to the dance, been to the sweet 16, and been to the elite 8. gund arena has become almost a second home for ksu, whose fans travel very well. the crowd is likely to be a pro-kent crowd as well. edwards vs kaan should be an excellent matchup. deandre haynes has had his coming out party in the mac tourney. the sophomore has been kinda passive the last year and a half, deferring to the seniors and not trying to do it himself. but he has been taking over games in the mac tourney. 26 points on 10-14 shooting vs bowling green and then he followed it up with 22 on 8-14 shooting vs miami. gonna be a great game, but ultimately the flashes take the automatic berth.
florida (-1) over vanderbilt
*both teams coming off overtime games. but i think florida in a pick 'em kind of spot gets it done. gators got it done last night in a game where matt walsh was absolutely laying bricks (1 for 15 from the field). assuming he shows up today- just cant see the gators losing. roberson didnt shoot particularly well either and they still found a way. theyre getting more contributions from the other guys down the stretch and thats helping.
