Is Goldcoast hotel nice at all??? We were gonna stay at harrahs, but Gold Coast gave us a deal for $50 a night. I could care less what is in the hotel as long as the rooms are ok, just wondering if anyone stayed there....

Never stayed there, but like you, I don't care where I stay as long as I got a place to do the 3 S's (shit, shower, and shave). Best of luck to you when you go...

I stayed out there at the Gold Coast last November and liked it a lot. This hotel caters to locals, the people are nice, got a shuttle to the strip every 15 min, the restaurants were good as well. It is across the Street from the Palms and the Rio, two great hotels. I stayed at Harrah's the prior year and hated it. The people were rude, I was overcharged on my room bill for using the mini bar as a refrigerator for some wine I bought from the store next door. It was all in all a horrible experience staying at Harrahs. Harrahs casino sucked to, the Gold coast casino was much better and had low limit tables even at night.

Never stayed or been to Goaldcoast. Harrahs is fun. Good location and a real party atmosphere.:drinky: :spotting: Great outdoor bar for when you want to get away for awhile. Bartenders put on great show and some hot looking babes are always there.
Stayed there once. Decent place for the price. Should try Orleans or Barbary Coast and see if you can stay there for $69. BC has a great location. Good luck.

Clean but a bit small (esp the bathrooms). You must also drag your luggage thru casino and past bar to get to elevators.
Orleans bit nicer, tho location isn't (no Palms or Rio next door) and for sure Barbary Coast best location in "Coast" chain, worth some extra money but only if you really want to stay on strip.
GC Sportsbook excellent for betting with early overnight lines and dime lines in baseball. 75 cent hotdogs during the day. 1 Drink ticket for first bet any size (you gotta ask for it), second for $100 bet. Freakin' Rio wants $80 bet for one lousy free drink! The Palms it's $20.
GC sportsbook not good for viewing games (all small TVs way up wall) unless lounge behind bar in evening or weekends is showing your game. That lounge has an excellent traditional jazz band that plays weekdays noon-5pm.
Rio has Harrah's sportsbetting lines (outta Harvey's from N. NV) and Palms has an independent book that will take some heavy action and some props. Both these books have some of best NHL lines in the city.

my friends are staying at the harrahs, but the only reason they are staying is because i was free, but like alot of you say, the service isn't to great, but the atmosphere is fun. im definately looking forward to it, it will be my first time there.

If you get a chance to get away from the old lady and get a night out with the boys, stop by Deja Vu's...They don't serve alcohol, but it's totally nude...I mean, sliced ham everywhere!!!! One of the stripper's name is Justice...See if she's still working there...In a span of 2 hours, I think I put her through 3 semesters of college...

I liked Gold Coast for the price & location. Xlnt write-up TerryRay. Also you can walk across the street to Rio for Sports Book or night Life- Don't forget the Rio's Paradise Seafood Buffet. Plus Orleans is close too. Too many ppl on the strip, (Barbary Coast), for me. Paradise Gentlemen's Club across from Hard Rock is one of the best IMHO, that is Hot Asians. GL Kdogg21.
i usually stay at the Mirage or MGM but if room doesn't matter Barbary Coast is nice and right on the strip......have a good time i am heading there in june and again in october
I have to agree with everyone that is talking about the Barbury Coast. We stayed out there last year and I thought it was an ideal location right in the heart of the Strip. Plenty of action there and we actually got a picture with Andre Agassi and Stefi Graf as they were walking through the casino! Have fun regardless of where you end up...
i've been telling my old lady we have to check out the gentlemen's club, but she isn't digging it to far, but she'll cave in sooner or later..... I can always send her off with my friends wife too, if there is some good shopping to be done, my wife will find it....
