Uconn VS Pitt - Let's Talk

Hello all. You might know me from my posts from this years past NFL season - hope everyone was profitable.

Line: Pitt -2

This game should be a slugfest. I think the key here will be who dominates the paint. With Okafor out, Uconn will be without their main scorer (18.7 ppg) and main rebounder (11.5rpg). I really like Charlie Villanueva but with his ankle being sore I woundn't count him to be an extreme factor. Like I said - Villanueva is great but in a game like this I don't like the fact that he is a freshman. I see Pittsburgh containing him and the rest of the Huskies. As long as Ben Gordon doesn't "go off" for 35 points - I see Pittsburgh winning this game by 8-12 points. Take care and as always - Good Luck To All!

Was wondering the same - to be honest it really puts a huge question mark into this game, I was leaning to UCONN and I don't know if this helps or not. Really a huge ? in my opinion.

Thanks for the news on Okafor - I thought I heard something that he probably would be out until the NCAA tournament.

I saw Okafor play hurt and it's not really a pretty scene. Okafor is a BEAST but I think this might hurt Uconn in the long run. He might play but I don't think it will be more than 20-25 minutes (if that).

Keep your eye on the second half total, I posted a thread about the intensity Pitt plays defense with, nobody IMO can keep that up for 3 straight days, just too much work. Look for some points to be scored in this one, especially in the second half.

Uconn does look good - but does Okafur look like he's running at half speed? Kinda a lazy trot, maybe I'm nitpicking and it's early but it really seems like he's playing very tenative.
