Boy, that's a surprise. Good luck to you on the play. Maybe after OSU hands it to Texas for the third time this year, you will learn that these Cowboys are the class of the Big 12, not the Longhorns. No disrespect meant, but point guard play means so much this time of the year. 'Horns have no true point guard....Cowboys have one that garnered Big 12 POY award and plays like it everytime he hits the court. Add in the fact that Barnes has already admitted they have no answer for Tony Allen, McFarlin and Graham are consistent contributors on both sides of the ball, and now Bobik seems to have regained his shooting touch. Honestly, what is not to like about OSU? There are not too many other teams in the nation that are clicking like they are right now. Even other 'Horns fans on this board have admitted to Texas not matching up well with OSU. Please give me some explanation on why you like Texas here. Admittedly, I am probably a little biased as an OSU alum, but I would seriously like to see your reasoning on this one. And please don't tell me it's the old "too tough to beat a team three times in a season" mantra. Sun Tzu, you have obviously proven your 'capping prowess over the course of the Big 12 season this year, but I just don't even remotely see where you are coming from with this play.

Enlighten me, Oh wise one.

Good Luck to All,

-JC

uh oh. :)

I'm taking the Pokes for a significant amount tomorrow. OSU may be smaller, but they have killed Texas on the boards twice this season. 38-30 in the 5 point loss in Austin and 36-25 in the 9 point loss at Stillwater. They also won the battle at the FT line in both games. Bad FT shooting has been killing Texas lately and you can't make those type of mistakes against OSU. If the Pokes get out to a big lead, they won't let you come back.

But we can throw stats out the window on this game. I just think this is OSU's year and the line is too good to pass up.

I guess I wouldn't be too mad if the Horns won though.

I could give a bunch of reasons but not going to waste the time as obviously the post was wise-ass to begin with. If you have followed me at all you know I generally refuse to play Texas games, so the "boy what a surprise" sarcasm is way out of line, but from an Aggie I guess it should be expected. Assuming everything you said is correct, then why on earth would the line be OSU -1? That line is so begging for OSU money it aint even funny - and I imagine Vegas will get it too. Perhaps Vegas was built on winners.

have to side with the longhorns also. in this three games in three days tournament setting, the longhorns' depth has to be considered a significant factor. cowboy starters have all logged significant minutes over the weekend - mcfarlin 60 minutes, lucas 76 minutes, bobik 66 minutes, graham 71 minutes. on the lnghorns' side, only mouton (68 minutes) has logged anywhere close to that much pt. second half today should belong to texas.

btw, we made it to the Final Four last year. How did your 3 consecutive Big 12 champ Sooners fare in the Dance with all that talent? Oh, and how many games in a row has that suck ass Barnes won against Sampson? :gf:

Sun,

It wasn't wise-ass at all from a standpoint that no I haven't followed you all year, I just knew you specialized in Big 12. Also, take a look at your avatar, tell me how that doesn't deserve a "boy what a surprise" comment? Anyway, if you read the whole post it was not derogatory towards you at all. In fact, it was filled with ear candy for you. I totally respect your handicapping and I stated that; I was just pointing out my thoughts and thought you might be able to reciprocate.

The problem is that YOU have actually started the name-calling with your Aggie comments. I am going to be the bigger man here and not throw anything back your way. Oh, how I would like to but it is obvious you are much too sensitive to handle that without turning this thread into a long, drawn out mess. That is not what I am after, just simply wanted a well-thought out opinion from you. If anything is out of line it is your inability to accept a different point of view without getting so defensive. Now just do me a favor and put everything aside and let me know why you like Texas today. I promise not to even debate back, I am simply wanting to know what I am missing here. Your thoughts may even persuade me into passing on this game and watching purely as a fan. Who knows? But that is what this board is about..... sharing opinions, not personal attacks.

Good Luck to All,

-JC
