I don't bet hockey much and dying for bases, and a short card today as well.....I saw something i liked researching the toronto game and i made a small play on them. Was listening to the game as i had nothing better to do and what a crazy comeback that was....know i got lucky...but i do have a question.....i only listened to the last 4 goals, all by toronto, and on each one of them the crowd was going nuts....wasnt this game in buffalo?? i know it was, but it seems like the crowd was crazy and pulling for toronto....like i said i don't know hockey and only had a mall play on tor, but just curious if anyone knows why the crowd went nuts for toronto

This is a great rivalry. Buffalo has poor attendance and everytime they play it is 75%-25% in favor in Toronto fans IN Buffalo. Cities only 1.5 hrs apart. It is almost impossible to get tickets in Toronto so the Leaf fans invade Buffalo.
It was a crazy game. Leafs deserved to win in OT with that comeback. BUT try and win games with Kidd in net-he was like swiss cheese. Biron was his SHITTY self. He needed to be moved at the deadline.
Leafs are fun to watch though

I was at the game and it wasn't 75% Leaf fans, more like 33%. Also Kickserv what are you talking about "fights in the stands?" Toronto fans are the biggest bunch of pussys I've ever seen. Over the last 10 years I have never seen a fight in the stands.

Now if you are talking about Bills games I've seen tons of Canadians get the shit beat out of them. :D

Hockey Lives Here
Stomie from watching it on TV yesterday, the leaf fans must have had all the good seats then. Looked like all the fans around the lower level were on their feet on the goals:confused:

Anyways great game great rivalry and no you won't find too many canadians involved in fights, it's way too much fun watching the light beer drinking Americans fight with each other.:moon:

Just playing dude;)

well I have been to a total of 4 games in Buffalo.and everytime there were fights in the stands........but yes that is only 4 Leaf/Sabres games....perhaps those were the only ones...I remember being about 12 years old and sitting way up top in the old Aud and watching this 50 year old Leaf fan smaking down this teenage Sabres fan........great memory..........oh and when the Leafs scored the last 2 goals the crowd was super loud....sounded like one loud 33%

games I have been to I'd say 50/50 split.............

oh and when Sabres play in Toronto.....it's 99% to 1% :D

What Country Besides Canada Would NEED a Law Against Dwarf Tossing?
Yes, indeed. This is a REAL LAW.
Bill 97 2003
An Act to ban dwarf tossing
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:
Dwarf tossing banned
1. (1) No person shall organize a dwarf tossing event or engage in dwarf tossing.
Offence
(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and on conviction is liable to a fine of not more than $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than six months, or to both.
Commencement
2. This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.
Short title
3. The short title of this Act is the Dwarf Tossing Ban Act, 2003.

Sabres...

Sabres...

ARE A BUNCH OF OUT OF SHAPE, GUTLESS, HEARTLESS WONDERS...OR ARE THEY JUST SNAKE BIT...BLOWING THIRD PERIOD LEADS IN THE LAST 3 GAMES AND LOSING EVERY ONE IN OT... THEY DON'T DESERVE TO MAKE THE PLAY-OFFS...

IT LOOKED ON TV THAT THE GAME WAS IN TORONTO, GIVEN THE AMOUNT OF TORONTO JERSEYS THEY KEPT SHOWING...OF COURSE IT WAS THE CANADIAN BROADCAST THAT WAS ON...

BUFFALO IS 1/4 MILE ACROSS THE PEACE BRIDGE FROM FORT ERIE - AND THE NORTHERN CONTINGENT WAS ALWAYS IN EVIDENCE IN BUFFALO, EVEN BEFORE THE SABRES, CANADIANS WOULD BE 50% OF THE FANS AT THE BISONS GAMES...[I MAY HAVE NOT REMEMBERD THE AAA FRANCHISES NAME - BUT I THINK IT WAS THE BISONS]...

I have been to hundreds of games in Buffalo-had season tickets for 5 yrs before we moved. I also have been to at least 15 Leafs games and as A Sabres fan I secretly have to admit that I wish Buffalo fans had 1/10th the passion that Leafs fans have. It is like being at 2 different events. Sabres fans sit on their hands and really only go when the team is winning. That is why that Cup run in 1999 was magical. But that excitement is there when I go to Leaf games. I can remember when the Sabres beat the Leafs that yr-I was at the ACC and was in the standing room only-some guy bought me a beer and told my wife and I we had balls to come and support our teams. Sabres one that game I think we were lucky to get out alive-but it was Awesome. There is NO comparison in excitement-BUT LEAF fans are VERY ignorant. Plus that GO Leafs Go chant is kinda catchy.
Too bad Joey Niew had to be an ASS last night and be a goon along with McCabe.
