Agree MCity on the intensity of the rivalry. Especially when Knight was still there. Hair on my neck would stand up on game days. Now don't you tell me you don't root against my Boilers because if your a die hard like myself that's the way it's supposed to be. Your alright for a Loosier fan.;) :D Just Kiddin .

no problem.just saw you calling them sobs and in my opinion that should be directed at coach k only.love that story about humphries checking his stats on scoreboard before shooting his free throws.great player but duke would not promise his dad and trent tucker he would start.got to be some reason kids like sean may and livingston leave your area to come here.within 25 mile radius we have duke, state and unc so basketball is king here.i hate seeing notre dame in football every sat so i can understand other fans' frustrations with espn and cbs and their bias towards duke.

not going to hang out with Dookies...just going out to watch the MD and UNC games;) ......just saying that it will probably be more busy tonight with the late game ending around 6 and the other 2 ACC teams are on right after that!

would be kind of sweet to see 6 ACC teams in the SWEET 16:eek: :nono:

BTW: might not get any sleep tonight (we sometimes end up playing Poker at 3 in the morning till we run out of beers at whoever's place we play at).....

can't wait till tomorrow....hope the Pack shoot better than yesterday:rolleyes:

the reason may didn't go to IU is because of bobby phucking knight. may was set to verbal to IU....then a week before he does, knight invites him and his dad (who was an all-american at IU under knight) down to his texas ranch for a weekend.....when he gets back he stands up IU for carolina....another reason I hate bobby boy.....I'm sure he asked daddy may to talk to sean about not going to IU and to play for davis who knight thought should've not taken the job as head coach out of loyalty towards him.....yeah ok bob....I'll just turn down an opportunity to coach at a top 5 program because you're a phucking moron with anger management issues but I'm gonna ride the ship down with you even though you caused yourself these problems.....ah don't think so. that's alright....IU has the #1 recruiting class in the nation coming in next year and bobby can't do chit about it.....in fact he'd better enjoy this year, tech's recruiting for next year is a joke....when emmitt is gone so is tech's little run of decent seasons. one more thing bobby inherited emmitt from the previous coach dickey.....lucky as hell he did because he hasn't brought in chit and as a true IU fan, I love it!! bobby :thefinger

no problem my friend.you should read what they post at the unc board.i really thought lowe might catch fire and carry purdue to title.isn't it about time a big ten coach takes a different approach and goes with quicker players and tries to be like a cincy or louisville and gets away from playing half-court basketball.got to think some recruits think the stlye of play does not show case their talents with slower game.

sorry, joy, but i never, and i mean NEVER pull for duke....and add mary-land to that list. i was raised a carolina fan, and went to state, so the blue pansies can kiss my ass. i would seriously pull for ANY team against duke. it would suit me fine if they never advanced past the first round ever again....but anywhoooooo...

I wish Purdue would change their style. What stuid recruit wants to play in a game in the 50's or 60's ? Things will probably not change in Boilerland until Keady steps down. Has 1 year left on contract. Kinda hard recruiting with a coach in limbo. Retire oe extesion? It will be a sad day for me when Keady steps down as he has been good for Purdue basketball. But who knows what some new blood will do. Some of the names flying around are Matt Painter ,So.Ill. Jerry Schenting , Minn.T'Wolves asst. (former player), Kevin Stallings, Vandy, Thad Motta Xavier and Steve Lavin , ESPN. All but Motta have Purdue ties. Hopefully it will be a smooth transition. I always thought it was going to be Bruce Webber , now at Illinois but Keady wasn't ready to hang it up when Webber got his chance at Illinois.

i think a coach with a up temp stlye can do very well in big ten if they emulate olsen or even roy williams.players and fans want to see up tempo.that is partially why so many state fans want sendak gone.you pay the kind of money as a booster to get tickets you want to see a faster game.first coach in big ten to get the type of players that play this style will cause problems for the slower stlyes.maybe the officials should change the way they call ther game to suit a faster pace.

MCity, they supposedly have a decent class coming in next year. 3 of the 4 are jucos. Have you heard anything about IU 's stud recruit going pro instead? Local paper ran a story last week saying he was 50-50 on going pro. His HS coach said he's gone.

I think he is going pro as well...josh smith is his name....if he doesn't come it will hurt IU's class but it will also open another scholarship....giving IU two more spots. IU needs a lot of help down low....they should look to the jucos as well....we don't have time to let kids develop right now at IU....we need immediate help down low. :(
