Today the MILAN INDIANS WON THE INDIANA HIGH SCHOOL STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

the little guys that could & believed,........--->DID.

That is what is great about basketball.

SO congratulations to those guys and the fans of that little team and town and even more so.........



THANK YOU for giving us the theme for such a wonderful movie as the Hoosiers.

Hey guys thanks for all the well wishes !

But I sincerely did not start this thread to create my own birthday bandwagon.

The intent was to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this memorable event in Basketball & being that we are in the depths of March madness I figured it appropriate to do so.


A little Trivia :

Does anyone know which NBA great player's high school team the Milan Indians defeated on their way to the Indiana State Championship in 1954?

Can you name the player and the team without doing a web search?
