The springs broke on my garage door.

Anyone know around what the cost may be ????

I noticed in the phone book that the Garage Guyz need to make a service call ($$$) before they give an estimate.

Don't try and fix this by yourself whatever you do. One of our employees spent four days in the hospital trying to fix his and I have heard of many other people ending up in the same boat. Not sure what it is costs for a pair, but $110 sounds like a good deal if you can find it.

You'd be lucky to get the job done here for less than $220.

Call around and try to get a number of estimates.

Some places will charge you for "drive time".

I definitely would let a professional handle an overhead door problem. They are very dangerous to work on and extremely dangerous if not functioning properly. Someone (yourself) could end up dead.

call precision, they do all the work around were we live, and all parts are lifetime, you have that single pring which should be double, but they did these cheap when they put them in and even though houses are only 5-10 years old the door work was cheap, they will also put in the neopruine wheels and bearings and you are set for life will take them about 2.5 hours and you will need new cables total cost was 646 and it is lifetime and they are all over us, they only thing that could go wrong is the opener after you have them fix it, but these double wides are to heavy for single spring and trust me these guys have done 455 of the 900+ houses in whittney ranch everyone on the block has had theirs changed over due to that problem, let them do it and they can show you how many they did in our block, had mine done last year and you cannot even hear it open and they check it once a year, don't go back to single spring trust me door way to heavy and you can't do it yourself, 361-8445 you will be happy you called them.

Done

Done

I went with America's Choice Overhead Door.

They replaced both springs for 166.00 parts and labor.

Fletch, the wife didn't want a garage door in stealth mode. She likes to hear if someone is using it (when it opens and closes).

Oh ya and me workout ??
Hell I got three boys thats enough of a workout! :yup
Thanks for the invite anyways.
Having a Garage Sale on Saturday if you want to bring anything over to get rid of and I start at the Palms on Monday.

Who needs Blockbuster when I have you right down the street ??? :D

they are good least you got the double springs like i told you on the phone, i had to replace one rail because it bent, and the neapruine rollers and bearings came to 300 for ten wheels so that was the big part but it is lifetime and no sound, so it worked for what i needed after going through 2 in 2 years, if someone had told me about the double spring it would of never happened the 2nd time.

told you if they spent the money on that test as long as you passed you were in, jeri said they only give those to people who are going to be hired. great job, fuk the other scum you know i have set foot in there only twice in 2.5 years and that was for the party stuff. like it was a big deal to me to have my plays put on a limit, what did they think I could not go else where, art is a ass, i did clean them during sat super bowl weekend and loved it.

Fletch,

Which model do you recommend and what do they run/ Have 2 "luca Brazzi" built nephews living on 2nd and 3rd floors of a house, was gonna get em free weights , but they would be dropping "em on the floors and causing their great grandmother to assume the "incoming" position on the 1st floor, cracking the ceilings and antiquing my hardwoods weel before their time, lol!!

Thanks
Raz

get the reg one not the extream only difference is the extream has a butterfly attachment and you can do the same with the reg one and it is on sale now at sears and online at sports authorty for 200 or 300 off , pay the 125 for set up trust me it is worth it, but you or they will really like it, does more things then they will ever do, so great in mixing up work outs, you won't believe how fast it cuts and starts to build you, very well put to gether and thought out.

thanks Fletch, looks like tyhey run about a dime or so, pro model is what i was looking at based on your recommendation...is it worth going up to the 410 limit as far as true weight feel or is the 310 sufficient?
