Westbrook, a 26-year-old right-hander, will start for the Indians on Wednesday against the Devil Rays. On Wednesday the Rays are to play the Indians in Winter Haven, Fla., at 1:05. Damian Moss and Paul Abbott, both of whom are battling for the fifth spot in the rotation, are scheduled to pitch. On Thursday the Rays play the Blue Jays at Progress Energy Park. Start timeis an hour earlier, at 12:05, so the team can leave early for Tokyo. Victor Zambrano is scheduled to start.
The Orioles travel to Viera on Wednesday to face the Expos. Kurt Ainsworth will face Montreal for the second time this spring (K Ainsworth 3 1/3 inngs 5 hits 4 runs 2 earned 1bb 3k) . He will pitch against right-hander Tomo Ohka. Baltimore's Rob Ramsay, the left-hander who is trying to come back from brain cancer surgery, warmed up in the bullpen Tuesday and could make his first game appearance Wednesday.
The Reds will travel to Lakeland, Fla., on Wednesday to face the Detroit Tigers at 6:05 p.m. ET. Acevedo (1-0, 4.02 ERA) is scheduled to take on Detroit right-hander Esteban Yan (2-0, 2.38 ERA). Esteban Yan will make his case for the fifth spot in the rotation when Cincinnati comes to visit for a 6:05 p.m. ET game at Joker Marchant Stadium. Shane Loux will pitch in long relief.
Rick Reed and Sean Burnett, two of the three remaining competitors for the fifth spot in the Pirates rotation, will pitch at Pirates City on Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds' Triple-A Louisville team.
Reed, who has been sidelined since straining his back during a fielding drill on March 13, will make the start against Louisville. He will be limited to three innings or 50 pitches.
Burnett, coming off two scoreless innings against the Yankees on Saturday, will throw three or four innings against Louisville.

Vicente Padilla, in the midst of the best spring of his career, is scheduled to start Wednesday night against the Blue Jays at Bright House Networks Field. Pat Hentgen will oppose him. Phelps makes his sixth appearance and first start of the spring when the Marlins take on the Cardinals at Roger Dean Stadium. Florida is the visitor in the game.
