Syracuse did beat Pitt in Pitt also Scott. Game will be a close one. Syracuse is not that strong from 1-8 but they have 2 of the best players in the tourney.

I played it for 1/2 unit so the way I look at it is
you owe me a winning play to even things out.

thanks

SU did go into Pitt and beat the panthers. In the course of doing so, became the only team to win in Pitt new arena and break the longest home winning streak in the country.

One SU advantage that SU has that no one is mentioning is coaching. Boehiem has been on the bench for 27 years and his asst Bernie Fine has been there almost as long. Those two have tournament experience that can not be discounted. Three trips to the finals, god knows how many sweet 16 appearences.

This has been one of the finest coaching jobs Boehiem has ever done. edelin walking could have torn this team apart but Jimmy B pulled them together and got them to finish strong.

having Pace at the top of the zone has helped SU's defense. His long arms make entry passes difficult and forces jump shooter to get the ball up and out a split second sooner. nichols is hitting his stride and improving on defense. I think bama is going to have alot of trouble scoring, especially early. Christ, maryland had only 18 points until about 2 minutes to go in the half. terps also went scoreless from the field for about 8 minutes.

Bama big win over Stanford could hurt them here. hard to duplicate that kind of emotion and effort. I noticed with SU that there was little celebration after maryland game. I think that kind of even keel helps in tournament time.

SU has weaknesses no doubt but I think this is a good match up for them.

Love to see line dropping in this one.

This might sound stupid, but one thing i take into major consideration ever since the start of the tournament is who has better guards. I believe guards are the key to tournament victories. Just look at all the SWEET 16 teams. They all have GREAT GUARDS except Vandy. All the upsets in the tourney were from teams who had unbelievable guards.

Tommorow i like
Alabama
Pitt
Wake

Scott a couple of points about Bama:

The Oregon win was not at Oregon. It was at Las Vegas in a tournament. Just wanted to let you know that.

Also I would include in the quality win category Charlotte considering they were a tourny team (an at large selection also).

I also would note the Arkansas game we won at Ark. We were down 22 in that game and came back and won in overtime.

Thanks for the info and stats.

Thanks for the stats ATL,

I don't know what else to say about this bama squad except for the fact that they match up to Syracuse much better than they did Maryland. This team is headed there, don't be afraid of it--

If you feel confident in another game, and don't feel like Bama can do it staight up, just put em in a teaser or par

Good Luck to All and Roll F..kin Tide!!

Food for thought-- What would Ray do?

Its going to be a dog day night .

I spent alot of time reading everything I could find and looking for that one or two facts that equal wins in NCAA tournaments.

My goal is to go 4-0 for a grand. I don't think that is asking
too much.

I really struggled with the UConn/ Vandy game but in the end
I have to go with Vandy and the points as this Vandy team
will be the best shooting team that UConn has played maybe this year.

Wake has played and beat teams that I do not think St Joes could beat in tournament end play. St Joes has more seniors but there are too many athletes on Wake.

Pittsburgh playing at top of their game. Ok St has not played
anyone that will defend them like Pitt will.

Alabama gets a tough test with Syracuse. Syracuse will falter offensively and Alabama takes them late.

All games will be close. I am thankfull for the points.

Good luck

Bad

Thanks I changed it. Well I hope thats a omen and UConn goes down like Cinn did.

I put winner winner chicken dinner in my sig line so its kinda automatic now. But I am superstitious so I guess I should go
ahead and say it.

GAME TIME !

Well that was a long way from a hat trick and instead
a quick 1-3 -600 bucks.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Maybe loophole was right about them tournament seedings.

UConn and Ok St looked really strong. Strength of schedule just didnt show up in these games except for Alabama.

back to the drawing board.

I'd bet that out of your 2600 "views" of this thread about 2500 were yours.Certainly the majority of the "replies" are you talking to yourself about a subject you know very little about. What a laugh.

You are most likely the only one in the forum giving much attention to the number of views a thread gets. The rest of us are trying to win regardless of such trivial matters.
