I don't eat much red meat , not even shore what color that would be i eat fish most of the time and chicken. also don't drink but your always good for a laugh. i don't know where i came up with that little tie up trick saw it in some b rated movie can't think of it, but i am sure that would suck. have a great day always all in fun incase you did not get that by know but i am sure you have, i respect any one who can pas the bar or med field test, hell i respect anyone who works that want's to work no matter what they do as long as they do their best, i disrespect the people who bitch about no work take welfare insted of going out and work a job even if it is flipping burgers so what it is a honest days pay.

Just to set the record straight -- at least TWO relatively powerful reps are strongly in favor of Internet gambling, and have spoken their support publically.

BARNEY FRANK (D-MA) -- I loved Frank's comments in fron of a hearing last year when he rhetorically asked gambling critics "Why do you care what people do in the privace of their own homes." Of course. some of Frank's critics will note his openly homosexual lifestyle -- but I for one like Franks consistency and correctness on this issue. he has nothing to gain by supporting oinline gambling, btu is doing so out of PRINCIPLE. That says somehting about this man's character.

CONYERS (D-MI) -- This is the Black Democrat from Detroit who now only want online gambling legalized, but is in favor of allowing it to be based INSIDE the US. He has spoken out in favor of a commision to investigate if the online gambling can be based in the US and regulated and taxed. His efforts will go nowhere, but at least there are SANE voices in Washington.

As a FORMER Republican, I never thought I'd be singing the praises of the likes of Frank and Conyers. But, it goes to show how far the Republican Arty has moved away from its roots of individual freedom and less government. What a joke.

yes we have much better things to do like protecting your southern border Too bad we aren't like Canada and have video slots at every local bar occupied by the natives who have just cashed their "band" checks. Canada would probably suggest paying reparations to every black person in the USA as well. "Lebron James, here's your monthly reparation check for 400 bucks". If it was up to Canada, I guess we would worship the queen mother as well and have her picture plastered in every government building and all the old British royalty featured on the money. Heck are you Canadians or Brits??

As far as your gun comment, it couldn't be further from the truth. Now, law abiding citizens like me have no problem and are quickly confirmed by the call in system, but folks who are shady and have criminal backgrounds of any sort can not buy one that easily. They just have to go to the inner city and pay a few hundred extra to get theirs from Marcus, Fredo, or, Yagivney .

Six Five the border between Canada and the US should be protected better. saw a piece where a farmer on the border has his fences cut almost daily at night. someone is either coming in or going out. one chopper and believe under 15 guards for the alberta border.

not that much more on the US side. it should be noted more will have to be spent on this by the Cdn. government they will slowly increase military spending because they have to, (well trained good soldiers just underfunded) and to please the US.

Canada wanted to improve border safety and security before 9-11 but was ignored, by Clinton and then by Bush administrations this fact does not get reported very much on US media, well have not heard it yet.

I mean they will cover the booing of a US anthem but I doubt they covered the hockey team in the US that was welcomed warmly in NB. Last year they were not given a warm reception in Quebec just before the war. there was stories on that. this month they were treated like royalty.

Six Five we do not worship the queen in the schools the children do not sing god save the queen. only sang it twice in my life. it is a symbol, nothing wrong with it. The US has many more symbols than Canada, we should actually have more.

some other facts that the US media may have missed about the left wing country to the north (LOL)
1. Canada has given the 4 th highest amount of humanatarian aid to Iran and Afganistan not bad for a country of 35 million
2. Canada forgave all of Iraq debt, unlike some European countries that just reduce their portion. of coarse there is ongoing talks there always is...
3. Canada lost soldiers in Afganistan have 1800 currently serving and may have to extend that.
4. Canada usually covers peace keeping duties of other countries when asked in peaceful places like Bosnia.
5. Canada is the only country in the G8 that will have a surplus federally. (provincially some budgets are under water except Alberta which will be debt free in two years).

selkirk, I just posted a few of my observations about Canada as I get sick of the USA bashing at this site, so more of a retort from me, some of which was toungue in cheek. I love Canada, and I visit every year. About the border, I would say many more dangerous things/people migrate south than north, would u not agree with that?

Sixfive would agree the border needs better security. In the past few months there has been an increase of shooting in Toronto (trend has been going up for a few years), anyways the media up here blamed gun smugglers, bringing guns from the US.

this does happen but more than half probably come from Canada it is not hard to buy any kind of gun in Toronto. However at one point it is easy to blame these problems or some on another country (ie. US).

would also agree there is quite a bit of US bashing.

one final point I often hear of closing the border I know this some misinformed opinions. now 84% of all cdn. exports go to one country the US.

however 25% of all manufacturing jobs in the US rely on exports to cdn. also a number of jobs are created by adding value to raw resources/ materials exported to the US.

not counting oil/gas, the trade relationship is vital to both countries and both would have much lower standard of living if it was threatened.

being an election year always a small concern about trade restrictions that in general are never thought out.

final note: which cdn. would be more like the US in regards to symbols or just in knowledge of its own history.

as for US bashing.....my opinion.....it comes from the whole "we are the US" "we do everything right" rhetoric. You know what I mean, the US is the best country in the world, etc, etc, etc. Of course I myself think Canada is the best country in the world, and of course if your American you think the US is the best country in the world. Nothing wrong with that, you should show pride for your country. The problem arises when you say something negative about the US and you get attacked. Yes, I myself have lived in the US for 5 years of my life, and yes, as I said I love the US.........it's just funny how upset the average American gets when you say something negative about their country. Thin skinned to say the least. And I'm sure you'll admit, many Americans know CRAP about other countries. Nadda, ziltch, zero. This in turn leads to that "lash back" attitude, why...because they don't have a clue how the rest of the world works. I mean, some Americans actually believe the US is the only "free" country in the world.........

I don't agree with all of the USA policies, I don't think anybody does. I'll also wholeheartedly agree that a lot of the younger generations don't know nearly enough American history.

I'm not thin skinned by any means, but the bashing gets quite old especially when it comes from our friends from the north.

instead of wish wrote which, however the statement is clear, I mean ask a cdn. and they probably know more about US history than cdn.

this has something to do with the size of countries. an example is there will be a movie coming about the Alamo, have you ever saw a major motion picture on Vimy, war of 1812, ect.

chances are cdns. in general probably know more about US history than cdn.
