No doubt you have a great record and I normally follow you, but I just don't see ANY WAY St. Joe's competes in this one. The teams they have played thus far in the tourney were not the type to exploit their weaknesses. IMO, they have played a perfect set of teams in order to get them where they are today. Wake was yet another team that played right into their hands in a way that OSU will not even consider. Let's face it......tight, in-your-face, defense is not something that St. Joseph's is accustomed to. The shots will not be open like they were on Thursday. Many people may be fooled by this line, but I refuse to be duped by it. The only reason this is even less than 5 or 6 is the simple fact that St. Joe's is a #1 seed. Vegas has to sucker some people into taking the Hawks! I am sorry to say it, but there are very few teams that St. Joe's has played that had the overall team quickness and athleticism that these Cowboys do. OSU will stay with them defensively throughout the game and noone, not even the great Jameer, will be able to light this team up from the outside. On the other side of the ball, I just don't see St. Joseph's causing much disruption to OSU's tight, offensive gameplan. Compared to what Pitt provided, this may begin to look ridiculously easy, much like the Memphis game. Martelli will soon realize that Billy Packer was right about his team being a weak #1 and their glaring weaknesses in terms of rebounding and interior presence will soon become apparent to the entire nation. I was against my hometown Cowboys in their last outing, but that was honestly their toughest test. They got by that one with relative ease and I see this game being no more than a mere speed bump along their way to the Final Four. Lest we not forget the irony, here. The last time OSU went to the Final Four (1995) under Eddie Sutton, they beat UMASS (another A-10 school) in nowhere else but East Rutherford, NJ, where this game will be played. It's those things that make you go, hmmmmm....... I look for history to repeat itself tomorrow and the St. Joseph's Hawk will finally have reason to stop flapping its damn wings!
Good Luck to All,
