Definition: To place a bet opposite of an original bet in order to reduce the action a bettor has on a sports event and minimize potential losses.
In this case, Ray has a 4 team parlay going that can win him X amount of dollars, depending on what he placed. He already has 3 teams that have won so the only way he can lose that bet is if Pittsburgh wins. He now has a choice whether or not he would like to let the parlay 'ride out' or make a bet on Pittsburgh to win a fractional amount of money that the parlay would have won.
I'm not good at explaining this stuff. Maybe someone else can chime in. These are things you want to learn however. Take care.
