I have been going back and forth on this first game all week. I was and am still trying to figure out why this line opened at 5. GTECH plays in the ACC, already demolished UCONN to begin the year and has also beaten DUKE at DUKE. On the flip side, I truly think OKST has played better comp. so far in the tournament in Memphis, Pitt and St. Joes...certainly a little tougher than Nevada, BC, and Kansas IMO. I ask myself if I had to play a tease on this game which way would I tease it...I am thinking GT and 9 to 10 looks very tempting. With that also being said, one is supposed to go the other way in that situation or OKST -4 to -5. In looking more into this, I think they (OKST) has a coach that has been around longer and been there before. Enough already and playing...

DUKE/UCONN

At the beginning of the year, I said that I thought UCONN had the best chance of winning the whole thing. They have pretty much dismantled everyone so far in the tournament even though they did not play a ranked opponent. Duke struggled in it's last game looking poor in their shooting efforts against Xavier. I really can't see them shooting like that again. I also think Duke as the better coach as I have never been a fan on Calhouns....think he just puts his players out on the floor and have at 'em. ..great recuriter of talent though. It seems as if plenty of services are on UCONN today and the line hasn't moved or in some places has dropped. Makes one think, no? This will be the game where UCONN free throw problems will show up. They are pretty much the bottom of the Big East with that statistic hovering a little over 60 some percent. Can't afford that in a big game. Duke will find a way to stay close and they are surely talented enough to do so, plus couple in the fact that they are IMO americas team i.e.yankees of basketball to pull this thing out. Therefore...

pirate fan, god bless you. i am not a big fan, but just there for the fact i lived here pretty much all my life with the exception of being in cleveland for three years. tough to compete for the bucs when you don't have the players or the payroll, essentially a minor league team. bothered me when they gave away b giles.

anyways, the game so far playing out like i thought. refs take okafor out of the game early with a second foul which was questionable at best. duke getting away with some calls early but no complaints. now i need this teams to make some bunnies and some freaking free throws. the over is going to be tough because with okafor back in, he will limit what duke can do. uconn is going to make a run and hopefully the pace will to. bad move on coach k's part leaving the big dude in.

U da man Nole. Thanks. Check this out. Someone very close to me had UCONN for 1500 and the over 1500 and a 600 parlay. Ouch. I might be shooting something right now if that was me. I really needed the over. Cant see how GTECH will stay in the game this time with UCONN. Think the line will be about 6 to 7.

3600+ = 4500 instead lose 750 that equates to a 5250 swing. ouch. mowing....mowing what? oh that is right, you live somewhere they actually do that type of thing in April.
