amen! Long time reds fan here! Spent many a summer afternoon eating chicken from KFC watching games at Crosley Field! Good stuff!
Mizer, all I can say is WOO HOO!
I dont want to get my hopes up, but getting rid of Bob Boone was the best thing they have done in years.
I actually think that if everything lines up right, our pitching staff is not horrible. Wilson has started nice, and Lidle has shown that he can pitch servicable. I even like the young guys Acevedo and Harang. Haynes still sucks, but hopefully we dont need him much.
If we stay healthy, we might hang in there for awhile!

I'm deathly afraid that if I get too excited, they'll blow up like a roman candle in my face, but I am secretly thrilled...tickled pink--RED, even!
If nothing else, it sure gives us a sense that we may actually avoid fading entirely into oblivion...a few years of rebuilding, maybe? I'd like to see the bullpen restocked, but not sure how the farm system looks for that...

As for Boone, agreed, Tease..that whole McKeon debacle smacked of the need to dangle Griff's father having a shot at the job in Jr.s face to get him to sign...
