I had posted a question about these filters awhile back. I had won some on ebay but when i tried them they didnt work. I was able to get a refund of my money..so that was cool. I know other madjackers have not had any problems with theirs. I think its worth getting if you can return it if it doesnt work. Good Luck bruddah.

From what I was told before I bought one is it will work as long as you can order movies etc from your remote. If you dont have that ability it wont. I have one and it works well. to find a place that sells them just type in digital cable filter into yahoo and you will find abunch of places that sell them. I paid $99 for mine

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
:) Yea, I saw them on Ebay for 5-15 bucks,
some say the new one for 2004 is the one to have?

Wondering what $99 gets you vs. those?

Heres a cut and paste from ebay:

"Description
Look carefully at the picture of our filter compared to others. Ours is the new and improved filter for 2004 !!!

ALL NEW FOR 2004 DIGITAL CABLE FILTER

It's super easy to hook up and I'll include full detailed instructions on installation and usage. It takes 2 minutes tops! takes 2 minutes tops!
Enhances the following channels:

Have sold here on eBay for as much as $200 !!!
Pay-Per-View channels
Adult channels
Movie channels
Special order sport channels
Special events
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the NEWEST AND ONLY item that can enhance digital cable signals. This is a "True" universal product. It will work on 99% of all digital cable systems in use today. This will work on the following receivers:

Motorola
General Instruments
Pioneer
Starcom
Sony
Scientific Atlanta
Zenith
Tocom
Explorer
And many more...

How it works:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The digital signal that makes up your television programming moves at a frequency higher than 54mhz. Your receiver sends back a signal after you order a pay per view with the billing info at a frequency lower than 54mhz. Hot digital cable filter.

This digital cable filter stops anything lower than 54mhz from leaving your receiver. It's your responsibility to call them to let them know which channels you have enhanced. Save money with a digital cable filter.

This is the best digital cable filter you can get. Beware of other digital cable filters! They might be the cheap ones that only cover up to 30mhz and if you have a 42mhz box you'll be out of luck and wishing you would have gotten ours instead. Digital cable filter.

Please keep in mind that this is not a cable box, it is a digital cable decoder filter, which plugs into the back of your own current digital box. It will allow you to receive channels you have to order with your remote, such as all your: DIGITAL CABLE FILTERS
Pay-Per-View channels
Adult channels
Movie channels
Special order sport channels
Special events
If you have to call in to place your PPV order, it will not work. You must be able to order your movies through your remote. All instructions will be sent with the digital cable filter.

Frequently Asked Questions:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. What is a Digital Cable Filter?
The digital cable filter stops the frequency signal that communicates with the digital cable box.

2. How do I connect it?
The Digital Cable Filter connects on the input side of the digital box where the incoming cable line is connected.

3. Is using the Digital Cable Filter Legal?
Yes! The Digital Cable Filter is to be used as a digital signal booster to enhance your digital cable. You must abide by your state, federal and local laws. It is against the law to receive channels without paying for them so you must call your cable company when you are going to watch a special order channel.

4. If I connect it, can I remove it?
Once the Digital Cable Filter is connected it should not be removed unless the digital cable box is unplugged first.

5. Does the Digital Cable Filter work on all digital cable boxes?
Not all, it works on digital cable boxes that allow you to order PPV with your remote control. If you order PPV by calling a toll-free phone number the filter will not work.

6. Will it work in my city with my cable company?
It does not matter what city you live in or what cable company you have.

Get yours fast for a low $3 shipping and handling charge.

I think this is how these things work.

When you order a PPV your box sends a signal back to the cable company through the cable. This filter prevents the signal from reaching the cable company.

The problem with this is that you can only order so many PPV's before they need cleared off the box, but they can only be cleared by removing the filter (which means you have to pay for them) or getting a new cable box.

just ordered one myself,I also read about it only delaying billing after I ordered one,but it is on a site that wants to sell you descramblers instead of a filter,so I don't know what to think.Has anyone here used a filter for a long period of time.

These work until the codes are changed. Some dealers will sell you the new codes, which are then changed, etc. The idea is to block the filter for pay services so you can steal them for free. On occassion a company will prosecute those they catch using these and some of the fines have been huge.
