``As much as I'd like to think that we're preventing him from making shots, we've been fortunate that he's missed a lot of ones that he normally makes,'' Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said. ``Obviously we're going to do everything we can to make it tough on him, but he's a guy that we obviously have huge respect for and we know he's going to be coming out like a warrior in Game 4.''

The Knicks have not been swept in a seven-game series since 1983, when Philadelphia won Game 4 at the Garden. No team in NBA history has ever recovered from an 0-3 series deficit.

Regardless, the Knicks are anxious to save some face during their first playoff appearance in three seasons.

``It's difficult looking at that, but it's not impossible,'' Knicks guard Penny Hardaway said. ``We understand that no team has ever done that, but it has to happen somewhere. Why not here?''

The Memphis Grizzlies waited nine years to taste the postseason. It may take at least one more year for their first playoff win.

The San Antonio Spurs will try to put an abrupt end to the best season in Grizzlies' history as they look to complete a sweep of this first-round series.

Memphis was backed by a boisterous crowd Thursday for the first home playoff game in team history, but Mike Miller's 3-pointer bounced off the back rim at the final buzzer as San Antonio hung on for a 95-93 victory to take a 3-0 series lead.

``We don't want to get swept. So we have to come out here with guns blazing on Sunday and play as hard as we did tonight,'' Miller said.

Coming off a club-record 50-win season to make the playoffs for the first time, the Grizzlies will not lie down in Game 4 for the defending NBA champions. They put up an admirable fight in Game 3 after being blown out in both contests at San Antonio
