Yanks +106...couple things I like here. First Yanks at home as a dog facing a sweep by the Red Sox, if that isn't motivation for them to wake up and come to play tommorrow I don't know what is. Vasquez is a composed pitcher and will come to play in this early season big game. Also, high for tommorrow is supposed to be in the low to mid 50's, which is not good news for Pedro. Read a lot about how he has trouble loosening up the colder it is out and it is starting to get in his head that he can't pitch in cold weather. 50 degree weather isn't freezing but it's not all that comfortable either. If his shoulder is tight Pedro has been having trouble getting his fastball into the 90's and forget about seeing anything above 94. He's a crafty guy but if his changeup and fastball are starting to get closer in mph it is trouble for the Sox.

Good price for a team that should be desperate to get a win.

I'd sleep on this one..don't try to recover today's losses before lineups come out tomorrow...this Yankee team is in fade mode. BoSox have the swagger right now and Vasquez going on 3 days rest....Mariano threw 40+ pitches today...careful my friend...tomorrow we'll team up and get the man!!

You bring up a good point about Rivera, Capman.

I still like the play but you are right based on the lineups my mind could change.

If I have a change of heart I'll post it.

EDIT*** Keeping the play...just too many factors I like here. Really think we'll see a desperate Yankee club today scratch out a win.

Plus Torre is trying to catch lighting in a bottle..juggling lineups..wouldn't be surprised to see Bubba batting clean-up tomorrow...Pedro will also be fighting the ghosts from his last visit to the Stadium...line needs to be more on the + side for me to take a flyer on the Bombers

This Yankee team has not figured out what it takes to win...long gone are the days of Tino, O'Neil and Brosius. They have a bunch of All-Stars in it for themselves. I bet if there was a bench clearing brawl you would see at least 5 Yankee pre-madonnas staying away from the tussle. I don't see any of Joe Torre rubbing off on this team. If you can't hit Arroyo, you can't hit Pedro. Long day for the Yanks. Can't wait to read the NY Post tomorrow. My guess "Boston Massacre" Yanks swept at home, Can Eli hit?

Adding...

Mets/Cubs under 10.5 +107....Mets can't hit their way out of a paper bag right now and they have their "go to" guy on the mound. Strong feeling that the Mets won't put up a ton of runs and confident that Leiter won't give up a ton either.

Cap I've got to give credit you were right on with that one....those Yankee bats are ice cold. Vasquez throws one bad pitch all game and takes a tough loss. Going to be interesting as to what the Boss does about this, I suspect this will not go without some mention.

Knowing the Boss heads will roll. Would not be surprised to see him go after another pitcher. They have the hitters . Although they are not producing now, they will. It's a long season. Nice hit on the NYM/CC under.
