BALTIMORE (Ticker) -- The Seattle Mariners try to snap a
five-game losing streak when they open a four-game series against
the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards on Monday.

The Mariners, who have the worst record in the American League,
were swept over the weekend at Texas, dropping Sunday's finale,
14-6.

Starter Ryan Franklin allowed seven runs and nine hits in 2 2/3
innings and Kevin Jarvis gave up three straight home runs in the
sixth for Seattle, which surrendered 17 hits.

The Orioles dropped the final two contests of a weekend set with
Toronto, including a 15-3 blowout defeat on Sunday.

Starter Sidney Ponson was rocked for nine runs - seven earned -
and 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings for the Orioles, who also gave up
17 hits.

against the Minnesota Twins at the Metrodome.

The Blue Jays took the final two contests of their weekend
series at Baltimore, including a 15-3 rout on Sunday.

Carlos Delgado and Eric Hinske had three RBI apiece for Toronto,
which rapped 17 hits. Chris Woodward had four of them.

The Twins won two of three contests at Kansas City over the
weekend, taking Sunday's rubber game, 4-2.

Torii Hunter, who had been activated from the disabled list
before the game, belted a three-run homer. He had not played
since sustaining a right hamstring injury on April 6 vs.
Cleveland.

their season-high winning streak to seven games on Monday when
they open a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks
at Bank One Ballpark.

The Cubs capped a weekend sweep of the New York Mets with a 4-1
triumph at Wrigley Field on Sunday as Matt Clement took a
no-hitter into the seventh inning and struck out a career-best
13 batters.

Aramis Ramirez belted a two-run homer for the Cubs, who gave up
just two runs in the series.

The Diamondbacks won the rubber game of their weekend series
with San Diego here with a 12-7 triumph Sunday.

Richie Sexson homered twice and Matt Kata had three hits and
four RBI for Arizona, which scored three runs in the third,
fifth and sixth innings to break open the contest.

team-record RBI streak to 11 games on Monday when the Colorado
Rockies open a three-game series against the Florida Marlins at
Coors Field.

In Sunday's 4-1 win over Houston, Castilla set a record by
driving in at least one run in a 10th straight game, going
2-for-4 with two RBI.

With the victory, Colorado avoided getting swept by the Astros.

The Marlins lost two of three to Atlanta over the weekend,
including Sunday's rubber game, 7-2.

Florida is 1-5 against the Braves this season and 11-1 against

San Diego lost the rubber game of a weekend series at Arizona on
Sunday, 12-7. Ramon Hernandez had three RBI for the Padres,
who went 4-3 on a seven-game road trip to San Francisco and
Arizona.

The Expos had lost 11 of 13 games before beating Philadelphia on
Sunday, 2-0.

Zach Day yielded nine hits in eight innings and Matt Cepicky had
