going with clev +150 with D'Amico when he is on he can be very hard to hit and i still think garland sucks he throws way to many balls and not enough first pitch strikes which you guys should track on you pitchers very importent if you have a pitcher who throws 65-70% first pitch strikes you will see a pitcher who will win more then not for the most part and not like sox have been ripping the ball the last few games> not a big play but thought it was worth a small chance and going to cover it with the ov also incase sox do swing the bats and garland does his walk thing, you can't give up extra outs in baseball. And you must throw first pitch strikes college or pro. if you are always pitching to a hitters count you are going to get blasted sooner or later and more times then not.

Good Luck

Garland walks guys, but he is always among the league leaders in double plays (and I believe led MLB in 2002). He is featuring his change up more, and it's working nicely for him. He has faced NYY twice and K.C....two teams that are going to be top 10 in MLB in scoring...and came out pretty good.

I am a homer, but a homer that will bet against his team in the right scenarios. Respectfully disagree here, Fletch.

HELL M YOUR ALLOWED TO DISAGREE, sorry still on capps from my rant in gen:D that is why i took the over as a safety just incase one of these 2 blow up which both can at anytime, Garland just does not cut it for me . When he first came up i thought he would be another clement and sheets and he still might, i think what might of hurt him was the pitching coaching he got his first 2 years maybe things will run it course like it should for him IMO if he would throw more damn first pitch strikes and get his strikes to balls at least up to 2 to 1 , i really dont go with the 2 to 1 for bb's to k's as musch as a coach with my strikes being at least 2-1 at the least , hell you have 8 other guys behind you quit playing corner grab ass, don't throw it belt high down the middle but make quilty striks when you throw, trust me if you pick what part of the plate you are going to own for strikes not many hitter are going to go 300 avg every game against you, i hate i hate I hate giving up extra outs or extra men to the plate , does not bode well in the long run, hell i hope he gets a good year and the sox because i have them in 3 futures different ways.

Good luck and trust me i pull and play the sox more then not, it is ok to be a homer. Like i said a few days ago if i knew who would win i would only have to make 3-4 bets a year and be done for life but not a god and that will never happen but would be nice if i did know how to do that. :)

I will say it again garland is not a pro pitcher at this point, he changes his arm slot every 2nd or 3rd pitch, till he can stay in the same slot he will be beat like a drum, still early soxs still have lot of time left, but he has gave up 5 runs and 9 hits in 3 innings and the main reason is he is pitching from behind and also only strikes he gets across elbow is below the tits and that makes him push the ball which 1 makes it flat and 2 if he trys to use seams as he is he will have no control in and out . i have seen him twice and stand behind what i said has talent but does not know how to pitch point blank, missed his last game but have seen him over 18 times and nothing has changed. put that braking pitch on a tee with a low elbow and indians are doin just that and as far as fastball and useing the seams as long as he pushes it instead of getting on top and throwing down hill it will never be in the zone 2 out of 3 times, check first pitch strikes i have 4 that sucks.

One thing I think you will be able to count on from the Sox this year is their bats. They won't go more than one or two games without hitting well. The new boss is very agressive and not passive like last years Manuel. If you see them go a couple of dry games, start thinking Over. Tonights game may be a good example of their pitching staff. I don't know what it is, but once they score some runs in an inning, the pitcher doesn't shut down the opposition. If they are scoring, their pitchers will also allow scoring.

Right on Fletch, nice call.

I will say that they didn't hit one ball hard off Garland in the 2nd inning...but he didn't help his cause with a HBP and a walk.
