KMA, how far back is it possible to look on puters to see what has been going on with their use?

TSI....hear this story on the news tonight? http://kstp.com/article/view/140623/

it's almost a lock that officials will start looking backwards to see what else has been happening on those breakroom computers.....

wonder how they feel about offshore gambling. :D

If you deleted it??? Only with a special program installed.
Otherwise, it'll stay until you delete it, or whatever your browser settings are set to keep. BUT, your online activity can be saved on a network if you're accessing the internet from the network's internet connection.

If it's your browser, just clear the history or delete selected sites. Not forgetting browser cache and cookies. (or firewall logs) That's for the everyday user. Police have ways to backlog just about everything ever entered in a comp. It's even possible to obtain individual keystrokes!!!

Thanks KMA.... kinda thought that if it was the law checking into things they may be able to trace back FOREVER even if things had been deleted/erased (whatever it's called) from the memory :D

Wonder how far back they'll check as to what has been going on at the Air Traffic Control Center in Farmington, MN
