Mine and my wife's first baby is on the way next month, and I wanted to purchase some good (better than average but not $12 per) cigars for the event. When I say middle of the road, I don't mean the boxes of 5. What is a good place on-line to order? What should I look to spend? To the people here in Atlanta, is there a local shop that you have had a good experience with?

Thanks in advance!

Dawgball there is a local place that has THE best deals around here in Pittsburgh and they will ship anywhere.

Every week I take a box (actually a bundle) to our golf league of a cigar called Old Fashioned, they come in wraps of 20 for about $35.00, they are made in the same factory as Macanudo's and you can't honestly tell the difference, GREAT for passing out to friends

Now if you want a cigar for smoking yourself I would say the Monte Cristo makes by far and away the best cigar going, a bit on the expensive side (roughly $10 each depending on the size) and a bit more powerful than most people probable prefer, but a great smoke for sure.
Look through the site above and if you find something you want and don't like the shipping charges I would be glad to pick them up and send them to you, they are only about 20 mins from my house and like I said I stop every Thursday on the way to golf.

Dawg,

There is a gu in my Sunday night hockey that was telling me the name of a place in Toronto that hand roles cigars. The good doctor may now of it. I will ask hime the name and see if they ship for you. Apparently they are a great smoke. The rolers are Cuban peoiple that live in Canada.

PF:

Would you recommend any specific kind of the old fashioned bundles? I'm heading down to New Orleans next weekend for a bachelor party so this thread was perfect timing. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

For the most part they all taste the same, it just depends on what size you want as far as what you will pay for them. The finish of a longer cigar is a bit different from the shorter version, but the initial smoke is the same, and these are honestly teriffic.
I usually get the 6X49 they come in a bundle (shrinkwrap, no box) of 20 for like $35.00 picked up and they last 9 holes on the golf course which is almost 2 hours as slow as the nit-wits are that I play with. For the money you will not beat this cigar and the staff at cigar express is first class.
