Well, Hentgen and the Jays came through as a nice little underdog Monday night. I'm really hoping Halladay keeps it going Tuesday night, but his chalk is a little more than I like to lay. Anyway, I am going with two on Tuesday for right now:

MINNESOTA TWINS - I really like Silva here. He has been consistent all year, while his counterpart, Joel Pineiro has struggled to a 1-4 record and 7.60 ERA. He also hasn't pitched the Twins well in the past, who seem to hit the ball a lot better in the confines of the Metrodome.

CHICAGO WHITE SOX - I like the lefty Mark Buehrle returning home to face Sidney Ponson, who has historically had trouble with the Sox, posting a 1-5 record and 5.95 ERA. I look for Chicago to get back on track after returning home from getting swept by an improving Blue Jay team.

I'll post the lines when I get them......

Good Luck Everyone,

Thanks guys......I got them both at -135, so here's hoping.....

Going to add one more:

PIRATES / ROCKIES under 12 (+110) - I know, betting the under in Colorado is not usually the swiftest of ideas. There are a few things going on here that I like, however.......(i) Kip Wells. Although he has struggled in his last couple of starts, I am sure he will be happy to get away from the Houston Astros and their league leading .284 team batting average. He has never faced the Rockies, either, which should give him the edge. (ii) Scott Elarton. His 8.91 ERA should scare me away, but he is coming off his best start of the year last Thursday in Montreal, and I am hoping this continues tonight. I'm sure he is desparate to stop the bleeding and will be looking for a good performance tonight. He is also 3-1 in his career versus the Pirates. (iii) Raul Mondesi. It will be interesting to see how the Pirates react to his decision to leave the team for the season, however, it should help this play tonight with his .284 average and 14 RBIs out of the mix.

Good Luck tonight,

Sharky

Yeah, at least the White Sox aren't gonna make me sweat it. :)
I see the Mariners have pulled ahead already and looking to put more on the board. I think we were on the wrong side on that one. I feel sorry for anyone who laid the chalk with Halladay tonight too.....They have trouble scoring runs for him, but he didn't really do himself any favours after the 5th either.

Oh yeah, and NOTE TO SELF.....Next time you want to play an under in Denver double check and make sure you don't have your head lodged up your arse. :nono: Especially when you see a starter with an ERA of almost nine.......WTF was I thinking??? ;142loser:

:banghead:

Tomorrow's gotta be a better day.........

Well, thanks to the Minnesota Twins for coming back and helping show a positive number on the day. I did learn a couple of things today, though.....Never count the Twins out, and no matter what kind of argument you want to make for betting an under in Denver, don't do it!! :nono:

New YTD 20-6 (+1440)

Good Luck the rest of the way. ;)
