Right now I see that the Minny/LA line is pick 'em. Call me crazy and a square, but how does one play Minny is this game? Not much time to rest and prepare for a more talented team. Plus a letdown. Haven't check how they matched up this year and I believe it was in Minny's favor, but this is the playoffs. This is IMO a bad match up for Minny in the fact that Payton will certainly neutralize Sam I AM, Kobe is licking his chops for Sprewell, and Shaq is Shaq to which Minny absolutely has noone to even contain him. I know, I know, Minny has Garnett but he might need to stay in the sauna for a week after the game he played yesterday.

I will be playing LA +/- whatever in Game 1.

Gotta agree, jr.

Recent history in their favour too.

Since 99...No. 1 seeds are 3-9-1 ats at home v. 2 seeds!!
0-5 SU (Av. loss 7.8) if the line is +3 to -3!

Like LA @ PK.

agree alot with all that has been said.

Seems like the Lakers -1 1/2 is not too bad to think about.

But wait just a second. The thing that worries me is that
if Minn has any chance to beat the Lakers they must win this first game at home. Protect the home court. They will be motivated to win this. Revenge for last year. Minn has played while Lakers have been resting.

They will be playing hard. Not to say the Lakers won't try to
crush them but Lakers seem much differant away from home.

Minn catching points as home dog.

Man it just feels like one of them home dog plays.

Havnt played it yet. I am having trouble deciding.

Here is how Minn played last ten home games vs San Antonio.

Remembering how Lakers just took care of San Antonio.

I do see home dog possibility here.

Guys, appreciate all the conversation/viewpoints on this game. Scott, those stats are nice, but this is the playoffs and no one of those games came after what they went through emotionally/physically last night against Sac. Minny matches up well with SAntonio, but not with LA...not that anyone does. Garnett can neutralize Duncan and from there it is pretty much a wash. Garnett will need more help in this series and I can't see it happening especially in game one when they have to be exhausted. As for the LA rest, they needed it. Kobe will be geeked up for Sprewell and IMO, will own him on each side of the court.

Bottom line and from a Vegas standpoint, they would love to see Minny win every game and even the series, I am just not going to be the hero...certainly not in game one. For every one you win, you lose five of these types of games. I guess that is why they play the game.

Please feel free to chime in on this everyone.

Record 33-32-2

LA-2
Under 181.5

Playing both the side and total with more on LA straight. Think this will be a sloppy game from the get go and also see Minny running out of steam late due to fatigue factor from the other night. As mentioned, this is not a good match up for Minny. Note, Kobe might miss some or all of Game 4, therefore I think LA really understands even more now the importance of Game 1. I can see Minny getting game 2 as LA is usually everyones chaser game at the end of the week.

Good luck to all. Going with the public tonight.

Scott, thanks buddy. Almost played out the way I thought only it went over the total by a small margin. I figured they would lose their legs late and those jumpers would stop falling. I didn't think Sprewell would score 23 points either, but he is going to have to every game if they want to have any chance at all. Garnett was exhausted. It wouldn't surprise me if Minny didn't win a game. I am sure we will have a discussion for the next game. Good luck today to all. No play for me right now, however I am leaning towards Indy - the points.
