Well, I've still got the D-Backs game pending, but worse case scenario, I'm out 103 (can't seem to turn a profit on consecutive nights lately). However, it's frustrating that this figure includes a play against Brian Anderson!!!
It's been a busy week at work, and tomorrow looks much the same, so I'm going to get my play in tonight. I won't be around Friday, as a couple of buddies and I are off to the local track for the "Molson Pace", a $300,000 harness race, where we have "All you can eat, all you drink" passes in the paddock lounge....We're gonna make someone feel the pain of these passes. ;)

Anyway, just playing one for Friday:

OAKLAND ATHLETICS (-121) Cleveland finally snapped their losing skid on Thursday by scoring 9 runs and earning a victory over the Seattle Mariners and Gil Meche. Problem is, the Athletics finally remembered how to hit themselves by putting up 15 runs at Fenway, and oh yeah, this isn't Gil Meche! ;) Barry Zito has struggled this year, posting a 5.56 ERA and a 3-3 record, but has excelled in the past versus the Indians, going 2-0 with a 1.15 ERA. On the other hand, credit must be given to Cliff Lee, who has started 5-0 for Cleveland, however, all good things must come to an end........

Have a great Friday,

Sharky

;)

GL Sharkster!!!!! I hear possible trade talks with Zito going to the Mets. Back with Howe. The Mets are definetly looking to pick somone up and his name is one of them. We'll see.....

RS --- lots of talk out here in NY area that Zito is dying to reunite with his old pitching coach Rick Peterson, who helped him a ton while in Oakland. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I know..I have a buddy who gets good Met info and I'm a big Met fan myself. I'd like to see it happen. It'll be hard for the A's to keep the big three intact after this season and I think they should atleast try and get something for him while they can. I know it sounds funny, but the Mets could be right there in the end this year. They won the Philly series, now they need to win the Marlin series this weekend. They can do it!!

YTD 38-24 (+1397)

I've been looking at this one and looking at this one, and I am going to do something potentially stupid here:

TAMPA BAY DEVIL RAYS (+188) The Devil Rays are playing their best ball on the season, winning six of their last seven. Doug Waechter has been pretty solid this year, posting an ERA of 3.93, even though his record his 2-4. The same sort of applies in his record against the Yanks, where is record is 0-1, but his ERA is a much better 3.00. I also like the way the DRays played New York tough to start the year, although, granted, they are a much better team right now. I guess part of the big price you get here comes with Vazquez on the mound, who has been ultra-consistent, but the Yankees have struggled all year scoring runs for this guy, and after the beating they laid on the Orioles, it may be possible that a dull offensive effort is lurking again. I rarely play this big of a dog, but this is worth a shot in my opinion.

Good Luck tonight,

Sharky
