For those that think on-line poker is fixed

This is a good read that explains alot of the extreme hands you see when playing on-line that lead you to believe it is rigged. Personally I have seen some strange things and am not totally convinced either way, though I tend to lean toward it being on the up and up. In any event this is a good read:

He called with an overpair - 88... maybe he put the "hero" on AK?

Nothing shown on past play, but in that situation I think I would have played similiar to X1 except not raising back on the flop and just calling it and pushing in on the turn.

Granted the hand in the example is not a fantastic example, but the thought conveyed is a good one, you will suffer bad beats based on moronic play by horrible players that in the short term will win a hand like that, lose in the long haul, but make you wonder in the mean time.

at least x1 had a hand. I've had many more terrible beats online than that. Granted, I wouldn't have been raising like he did, but still, 88 was top pair after the flop.

A worse beat and one that wouldn't have suprised me would be if x1 was holding something like J 4 unsuited and hit the straight for the win on the river. That's the kind of shite I run into or all the flush drawing goobers that never fold no matter how much u raise them and inevetably, they hit their suit on the river.

Nowhere close to being that bad of a beat...much, much, much worse beats than that on a consistent basis when playing online.

but man did I have some weird hands a little bit ago at party

had AA, 2 hands in a ROW!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about cleaning house they thought I was bluffing when i went all in 2nd time around

Same tourney had AA 3rd time, had KK and had quad 5's.
Still choked the tourney and finished 39th outta of 740.

SixFive, I think that's the worst thing on-line is all the people willing to draw at the flush, they just will not fold suited cards even if they are 2-3, it's a horrible play but they will catch sometimes, usually when I am all-in
