The Miami Hurricanes will win the Coral Cable regional. They open tonite against St Bonny. Miami has a 67-11 record in regional games play at Mark Light Field. The Hurricanes, winners of an NCAA record 10 consecutive regionals have not lost a regional opener at home since may 19, 1978. UM will start lefty brandon camardese who is 5-2 with an era of 3.94.
The bonnies won the atlantic 10 to get a bid. their best player is their shortstop eric wilson who is hitting 374, 47 runs and 40 rbi.
the bonnies do not have a pitcher with more than 5 wins and the whole staff has era of 4.84.

no question the canes win tonite and then move on to play either florida atlantic or nc state. nc st will be throwing their ace tonite while florida atlantic is resting theirs for saturdays game. the wolfpack were swept last year at the super regionals in miami.

miami is just to deep not to win this. they have tons of confidence after beating long beach state last week. they gave long beach and the countrys best pitcher in Weaver a beating last week and they were missing some key players.

MIAMI -350 TO WIN THE CORAL CABLES REGION.

well miami got the win last nite 6-3 and will play nc st at 3:30 today. the canes will start either lefty jd cockroft(8-4 2.93 era) or righty cesar carrillo(9-0 2.58 era) this afternoon. Cockroft has won 6 of his past 7 starts and miaim has won each of the 13 games cirrillo has started this season.

the wolfpack will counter sophmore righty micheal rogers(9-3 2.30 era) . rogers faced the canes last year in the first game of the super regionals at mark light field and allowed 9 hits and 8 runs in 5 2/3 innings in a 10-9 loss.

the loser of this game will face the winner of st bonny and florida atlantic. the winner will move into sundays championship game.

just thought i would pass this on to anyone who played this regional. miami made the right move saving their better pitchers for today and tommorrow while the other 3 teams have had to use their big guns early. miami is seeded 3rd nationally but ranked number 1 in 2 polls. they just seemed to be determined to steam roll throught this region.

good luck today guys
