Well, 3 interleague games are out of the way and they went just like they were supposed to. I've done very well the past three years in IL and will pass along a few things I've learned. If you pay attention and are very careful when going against these things you will save money.

Home teams have the adv.
Home dogs do very well
Home fav do better
The winner of game one wins series.
Over the past three years RFs have won 56% of the time. That means that if you played all of them you lost big time.

I look for hometeams in game one. Preferably favs. I was stupid to play Hou last night knowing this. In game 3 don't play road favs that lost game 1. No matter how good the game looks, the odds are against you.

There are very few sweeps.

I'm still reviewing my notes from the last three years and I haven't even looked at the totals.

These are just a few of the high points I've learned about IL play but if you pay attention to this you should come out of interleague better off than if you don't. Good luck in the IL play this year.

A couple of more things worth pointing out.

Based on the last 3 years the winner of game 1 wins the series at close to 80%. There are usually no more than 5 undecided series going into game 3.

Last year the home favs hit at almost 70% in game 3s.

NL parks went over and AL parks went under. This was also true the year before.

These will be the last stats today but I felt like you should see them. Here's how the first games of the 6 series last year turned out. The previous years ran about the same.

Home teams------------53-31
Home Fav---------------36-13
Fav-----------------------54-30

Now you see why there are no road-dogs that I'm interested in tonight.

There were no surprises last night. Remember that 3 IL games were played Mon. Here's what happened in game 1.

Series 1 game 1

HT 9-5
HF 8-1
F 11-2-1 (Atl went off as a pk)

I might not be able to keep this thread going after today. Going out of town for the rest of the week but might be able to post once in a while. Good luck everyone.
