Anyone and I know there are several that live in the Dallas area, could you tell me what a good restaurant serving steaks would be in the Dallas area, got some friends going through a lot right now and would like to send a gift certificate for dinner and drinks to them, also what an average meal would cost, (dont want to short em) thank you very much for your help.

Peace,
ll

Bob's Steak and Chophouse. (I think it is on Lemon and the Tollway)

It is great and not too unreasonable on the prices.

I also ate at a place called Sullivans and it was pretty damn good too now that I think about it.

Boi Na Braza...It's Brazilian Churrascaria

Really good Brazilian Steakhouse...And it's a buffet

They bring different types of meats to you on a scewer...The lunch buffet runs about $30 a plate and the dinner is around $50, but well worth it...

It's in Grapevine, TX off of HWY 121 between Hall-Johnson and Glade Exits

I'm with Jamaica on this one. Fogo de Chao in a major, major way. It's not cheap, but man, you can eat as much as you want and it's all top-notch meat.... I'm getting hungry just typing this, and I'm 1000 miles away at the moment!

I would highly recommend this place to you and anyone else who visits the area.

Fogo De Chao is indeed excellent, it is another of the Brazilian Steakhouses that a couple of the other recommendations were also. You cannot go wrong in one of these places! ;) If you have never been to one, it is a dining experience.

They give you a little coaster that is red colored on one side, green on the other. If you have the green side up, it means you are on go and the waiters will stop by with whatever just came off the grill on a big skewer that looks like a sword. The number of meat selections are phenomenal and I would suggest clicking on the link from Jamaica above to see. If you have red, this means you either have a plateful or have had enough you wimp:D The salad bar is an unbelievable meal in itself, but do not eat too much because the MEATS are the star

Great suggestion, especially if they have never been to one of these type restaurants.
