Why should I feel foolish when everything I say is true?

Lakers cannot beat the Pistons and the officials + overcome injuries. Not gonna happen unless Kobe + Shaq are on fire.

Congrats to Pistons fans/bettors, but it is unfortunate they might win an NBA title because of free throws. Horrible officiating.

Guess NBA got tired of Western Champions.

Your team has lost by 12,20 and 8..............and you still think its officiating:confused:

Shaq could'nt have played a better game..............and your boy Kobe who you stated earlier was the Lakers best player.......is really showing his true colors this series:nono:

All I see is Kobe going 1 on 3 the whole game. They don't run an offense, they don't play basketball. That's why they falter down the stretch.

Forget the refs, forget the injuries. The Pistons are better.

Guess you don't watch the game. PISTONS were up by 2pts at half and shot 3x the # of free throws than the lakers. It should have been a Laker blowout. Your hilarious. The final score tells you nothing about what happened in the game. Or did you ever think maybe the final score has something to do with what happened in the game? Final score does not reflect about the game. Refs keep Pistons in game with huge free throw disparity and then Pistons turn it on.

Pistons might very well win the title, but it is a complete joke and everybody knows it. Or some won't admit it.

The Lakers do not play basketball. You watch the game. Do they move the ball? No. Do they get good shots? No. Do they play sound defense? No.

You can't possibly answer yes to any of those questions.

There were plenty of calls that did not go the Pistons way tonight as well, the difference is they get the ball to the basket while the Lakers are taking Kobe 20 ft fades. Other than Shaq, NO ONE ON THE TEAM TAKES A SHOT INSIDE OF 10 FT.

It's useless to argue with you, but really funny to see you get so frustrated.

It is funny your lack of knowledge about the game of basketball. I am not complaining about how well the Pistons play. They been playing good/great. They do some good things and best of all they hard and as a team. I actually like the Pistons team.

That does not cloud my judgement. The officials are not calling a fair game. The Pistons easily, EASILY should have been blown out tonight even with Kobe struggling. The Refs kept the Pistons in the game in the 1h with 3x more free throws. I think Pistons deserve to shoot more free throws, but not 3x more in one half. No way. This is not basketball that is being played.

Lakers cannot beat the Pistons + Officials +overcome injuries. Too hard too do without Kobe + Shaq being on fire.

BTW, great defense Pistons played on Kobe, or should i say strategy. Although they get away with a lot of fouls on Kobe. Holding him all night. Watch the game again closely and you will see.

Where in the f**k are you going to get a foul called when all you are doing as a team is 2 things

Throwing the ball into Shaq.....and he is shooting a turnaround hook shot or a dunk

Kobe is driving for 1 or 2 dribbles and settling for the jump shot....

Thats it..............no one else on the Lakers is driving or even close to an offensive threat.........

The Pistons have 5 guys taking it to the rim...........they lakers have 1 (shaq)............now even you can realize you are going to have more fouls called on the team that has the most guys driving..............

This was one of the worst officiated NBA games I've EVER seen!!!

When Kobe was knocked down going to the basket there was no foul called; when Rasheed Wallace cursed the referee for calling a foul when he fouled Shaq there was NO technical called; again, when Rasheed Wallace fouled Kobe and demanded that it be jump ball no technical.

The bald headed white referee is the SAME referee that called all the ticky-tack fouls in Game 2, that the Lakers were fortunate to pull out! The Pistons can slap on the back and hack Shaq and Kobe and Wallace can bump and muscle his way to the basket with impunity but NOT the Lakers.

Heck, any team can win a series if they are shooting 35 free throws to 17 for their opponents. Say if Detriot makes 30 of those free throws and the Lakers make nine of 17, then that is huge. Hard to believe a tough physical team like Detroit can play a game with few fouls. If the free throws were fairly even it would be a different series.

The officials deserve an NBA championship ring just as much as the Pistons.

You people are just Laker haters and I get a big kick out of all your ignorance.

Steven A. and Tim Legler, who were courtside, and have touted the Lakers from the beginning of the series, just layed into any suggestion that the Lakers are getting the short end of the referee stick. The Pistons are quicker and more aggressive, and that's how you draw fouls. All you, Phil Jackson, and the rest of Laker land have to hold on to now is to whine about the officiating.

I disagree with 2 of your points. I think for the most part Lakers played good defense. Held Detroit to same FG% as Lakers shot. Defense was good enough for the Lakers to win. It was the offense that did not produce.

2nd think I disagree with is you saying Lakers don't take good shots. Kobe takes tough shots all the time. Shaq usually takes tough shots. Rest of the role players 90% of time get easy shots. Open shots. (usually behind the arc) So if they are missing wide open shots, are they bad shots? Or maybe they are just bad players. I think Kobe gets frustrated when his teamates miss wide open shots he creates for them so he said F*** them and does his own thing. In a way I don't blame him.

From the top of my head........
Slava missed 2 wide open 2pt shots tonight
Payton missed 1 wide open trey and 1 semi open try in 1h
Fox missed crucial trey in 2h
Walton missed open trey in 4th quarter
Malone was open all day and I think he only shot 1 time?
Rush missed semi wide open trey
George made 1-2 shots (missed 2 free throws) he played ok
Fisher sometimes takes tough shots with men in his face

Role Players for Laker who most of time shoot open shots
9-32 28%

Not gonna win shooting like that. But are the Lakers getting bad shots? I am not so sure about that.

The're bad shots because the guys shooting them look like they are scared they might hit the rim............everytime they even make a shot they seem surprised:confused:

Maybe that is why Kobe is threatening to leave. He is tired of the BS role players surrounding him. He told Buss to get younger and more athletic. Buss got Malone and Payton. Malone and Payton are great if they have younger and athletic players around them. Lakers don't. If I am Kobe I go to the Spurs or Clippers. Spurs = many NC's. Clippers Kobe could become a legend. Safe bet vs risky bet. Clippers have very good young talent, Kobe would be great addition and Clippers could trade draft pick for veteran PG. Then I would have to switch being Laker fan to Clipper fan. Kobe my fav. player.

2 men are not gonna beat the Pistons. Never gonna happen. Although we have not see Shaq and Kobe dominante together in one game. Shaq is doing it but not Kobe. Pistons are keying on Kobe not Shaq. Smart Larry Brown. Although I don't think Pistons win this series without taking so many free throws.

Kobe to Memphis. This way he will get some privacy too, not being in a big metro city all the time.

Pressure does amazing things to people...it makes that 3 foot putt difficlut to pull the putter back...it makes the short out pass inexplicably fly high off the fingers of the qb...and when a team is on the brink of elimination, it makes those open jumpers EXTREMELY difficult to make...it is very easy to make shots, putts, and complete passes when you are in a groove...however, when the house is rocking with chants of "Beat LA", and you realize you are dangerously close to losing the championship that EVERYONE (including your own team) had awarded you before the series began, the rim gets smaller, the shooting arm gets heavier, and the basketball suddenly gets bigger...

I don't think pressure has anything to do with the Lakers. Kobe has come through MANY MANY times for the Lakers in the playoffs. Fisher has made MANY playoff pressure shots in his career. Shaq has come through MANY times. I think your forgetting majority of this team has 3 rings. Please don't forget that. Lakers are in a finals where they are getting beat by a better team and a finals where there is a huge disparity at the free throw line (plus key injuries). Majority of the Pistons team are playing for their 1st title, majority of the Lakers are playing for their 4th.

Lakers 1st championship they came back down 16 in the 4th to beat Portland in an elimination game.

Lakers came back down 2 games to beat Kings (who were much more talented) and won game 7 at kings.

Pressure is the last thing hurting the Lakers in my opinion. Maybe motivation? Injuries? Coaching? Rebounding? Shooting? Officials?
