Bad Beat of Season Nomination

Sure baseball is a fickle game, and many plays will be real close. This just cost me 2 units, so life will go on...BUT it hurts even more when you have a game nailed and then lose in horrific fashion.

And the nomination for worst bad beat of year goes to:

Yankees/Padres UNDER 9. Why you ask?
The score was Padres 2, Yankees 0 with the Yankees batting in the bottom of the ninth. Did I mention there were 2 outs??And no one on base???

I feel bad for Padre backers too.

Small vent, next game please, but geez, these hurt mentally.

Also feel bad for Wells, pitched a hell of a game.

had just circled the w on my chart for not 1 but 2 pars when matsui cleared the fench,and the here we go feeling came upon me,On the flip side els was down 2 strokes when love who hadnt bogied the last 5 holes in any of the 4 rounds double bogied 17 than went on to bogie 18 which gave me a nice 3 teamer unbelivable day,I did say to my wife that i should of bet the under b4 the game and she said be careful with those yankees,well they still got me!:thefinger

Well after tonight it really hit me. I had the Pistons to sweep the lakers 100-10000 at the greek. I played it thinking when in the hell will I ever have a chance to make 10 grand off a unit. Now I realize I lost it on the fuc$$$$ miracle shot by Kobe. I also had the cubs game under today and it was 2-1 going into the eighth!!! I guess the good news is my buddy and I went to Vegas on game five of the eastern conference finals and put 400 on the Pistons to win the championship at 8-1. My thinking was defense wins championships. I hope to hell this does not turn into a bad beat. It just now hit me I coulda had 10 grand which will take me months to make working:thefinger

Cinci blowing a 9 run lead to lose the game - AWFUL loss, so I know how this feels and it makes you want to quit!

In addition to the pads and reds on Sunday, I also had the game u r referring to (Reds blowing 9 run lead)...to top it off, also had Tigers when they were up 14-4...and eventually lost...

Yes I remember that Det game as well. Damn all 3! The best thing to do is hope we get some of those wins back!! I have had some very lucky wins to make up for it.

Last week I had Florida and they had 2 outs down by 1 - they hit a homerrun, then another 2 run shot and won the game!

Its the way it works out sometimes I guess!

Yep ... I had the Pads for 2 units and the under for 2.5 units. It was definitely a very bad beat.

I had the D train against the giants at the beginning of the season and he had like a 9 run lead in the 2nd inning and lost....................but I LOVED WATCHING WELLSY'S PADRES GO DOWN I hate david wells I feel that he lost the world series for the yanks and love to watch him lose (OK in this case not win) but I hate that fat pig.....BTW watchout for Clemens I still think he will fade and I think he may get hit IN IL because the east knows him
