Well, we've seen the Lakers try to out defence Det and it didn't work. Tonight I look for them to try to out offense Det. If they pull the line, they win.

LA ML
o 170

Playing this as a par.

We seem to have very limited memories when it comes to the NBA. I have an excuse but most here at Jack's don't. One of the fringe benefits of getting old is that you get to do the same dumb things you did when you were younger but now you can plead senility. How many times in the past few years have we seen the refs literally give LA a game a critical times. Was it last year or year before last that the refs robbed Sac of the Western championship. In that game there were fouls called against Sac where the replay proved there wasn't even contact. Edludes said that you can't let your feelings cloud your ability to cap and he is dead on. If you haven't seen enough NBA to realize that everything is not fair and the playing field don't have to be even then you probably haven't been around long enough to warrant risking your money. I'm playing LA on the moneyline tonight because I think it is the best shot they will have at winning and I think it's the way I should go. If I lose, it won't be the first time and it sure won't be the last. I'll give really good odds on that in case some of you need another wager. If I see the refs give Det every call I'll just say "Damn, I thought they were going the other way" but you won't see me bitching about the calls tomorrow. The refs and the umps have given me an edge for the past few years and at the end of every season I say "God Bless Their Pointed Little Heads" Good luck everyone
