What a bunch of arrogant a$$holes.

They win the West Conference finals and are presented with a trophy. What does Shaq, Karl, and Gary do? They snub the NBA and stay in the locker room and say we don't care about your stupid trophy. Now that's disrespect.

The NBA finals they just played individual basketball. Shaq can't shoot freethrows. Then Kobe has the audacity to guarentee a win after getting outplayed thinking they can just turn it on . What happens? They get ROCKED!

LAKERS GO TO HELL!!!!:thefinger :thefinger

What shocked me about the Lakers' play in the Finals was their lack of adjustment to Detroit's. You'd think Phil would figure something out to try to overcome what the Pistons were doing to them. It wasn't necessarily Kobe and co. taking bad shots, it was the hustle and play of the Pistons, flying all over the court, moving constantly to get free, rebounding and going after loose balls with grit and determination, relentlessly keeping up the pressure.

The Lakers' recent accomplishments notwithstanding, their sense of entitlement and overall smugness are almost sickening. THAT'S what turns some of us off about them. Plus, a genuine lack of cohesiveness this year as a true unit did them in.

But when you think about it, even though L.A. did come back from 2 games down against the Spurs and beat a game T-Wolves squad, it was actually Detroit's series to lose. They, the Detroit Pistons, were the team of destiny, the ones who put forth the all-out effort and claimed the championship as a result.
