Boy, I sure was wrong on Paul Byrd yesterday, but I will bet against him again next start.....Really like playing against a guy second start off the DL if he was successful in his first. :shrug:
Four for Dad's Day.......
LOS ANGELES DODGERS (+122) I hate to tell my Dad on Father's Day that I have fallen in love with someone named "Jose", but Lima made me money last start and I am going back to him again today. He has been real solid his last two outings, and Jose Contreras has been nothing to tell Dad about, sporting a 6.20 ERA.
ATLANTA BRAVES (-145) This is my daily dose of chalk, and I look for the Braves to build a little momentum with my buddy Rusty on the mound today.
CHICAGO WHITE SOX (-106) I think the Expos have blown their load in the last few days, and I can't see them putting up a whole lot of runs against Garland. Zach Day has also struggled finding the strike zone, and I think the White Sox bats are going to punish him for this.
OAKLAND ATHLETICS (+135) I'm not going to try to baffle you guys with bullshit here....Barry Zito +135. Sign me up.
One quick Father's Day story....We were at Miller Park in Milwaukee last year and some kid about 4 years old comes wandering up to me, puts his arms around my legs and yells, "Daddy". Geezuz, talk about a mix-up. Mom wasn't so bad, though.....
